As recruiters and TA professionals, we understand that recruitment is everyone's job (referrals, inside moves, etc.) but it extends much farther than that into the culture you create and the mindsets you foster within an organization. It's your employer brand and how you strategize to have it reflected in the communities you serve and wish to attract; it's your policies and procedures that must be established and followed to create a culture in which your employees can excel; it's leadership that think of their people as more than a commodity; it's fostering diversity of thought, background and action; it's being open to innovation and transformation; it's aligning all of the "sub-cultures" that each department will naturally create to the goals and ambitions of the whole organization. All of these (and probably more/better) combine to create an environment where talented people can learn, grow and develop and therefore drive better results. Yes, in the end a talent mindset is about results. Every individual and every organization that fosters a Talent Mindset, “lives” it in a different way. We’ve done research to identify these different ways of living a talent mindset, and hope to have a little fun with you to help you identify your talent mindset.
