16. RESULTS
o Received all age ranges and timelines
o Many patients claimed that allopathic medicines (ex.
Omeprazole) only
provided temporary relief
o PPIs (proton pump inhibitors) mechanism makes patients
reliant
o Allopathic medicines were necessary to feel normal
o Sought treatment because of prolonged pain
o Returning patients: majority of them (around 90%) claimed
that Ayurveda
helped

19. UNEXPECTED DIFFICULTIES
o Many patients did not remember how many
medicines they have
taken
o The hospital did not have many patients in IPD,
which was my
original plan

20. CONCLUSIONS
o It is a beneficial branch of medicine however… not sustainable
on its own
o There are no guaranteed results for everyone since everyone's
lifestyle is
different
o Needs to work in conjunction with modern medicine
o Example already exits with the cancer patients and nay that need
testing
o In the end, it is not possible to say an absolute answer. To cure
ulcers and
combat acidity, a patient should seek natural medicines if the

21. MY TAKEAWAY
o When I first presented this idea, no one even knew what it
was
o Lack of exposure
o I am more open to trying natural methods because of this
experience
o It highly impacted my future plans since I aspire to become a
doctor
o JCL doctor
o Further analysis: I would conduct an experiment in which I
would conduct
clinical trials (this is the reason it has not entered the US yet)
