  • 2. HVAC basically stands for heating, ventilation and air conditioning.
  • 3. It is engineered to supply and regulate all these components in an indoor environment whether commercial or residential.
  • 4. In the early years, the Romans were the first civilization to use a warm-air heating system and this was exclusive only for the upper class villas and public bathhouses.
  • 5. The evolution of HVAC system has paved its way to today’s innovative technology and designs that exists to power home and commercial establishments.
  • 6. Modern systems now consists of a furnace, air conditioning unit, and a ventilation system as well as pipe or PVC ducts that transports air through rooms, home or buildings.
  • 7. The individual systems – heating, ventilation, and ac system are connected via these pipes and ducts and they do not interfere with one another.
  • 8. The heating component of the HVAC system basically involves combustion of fossil fuel like propane gas or oil within a containment device such as furnace or boiler.
  • 9. The heat produced during combustion is then distributed to rooms and other parts of the building via ducts and pipes.
  • 10. The ventilation component in an HVAC system is the one that creates airflow in and out of the building.
  • 11. Finally, another HVAC system component is the air conditioning that supplies cool air through the rooms or buildings.
