    • Voice is that form of a verb which shows whether what is denoted by the subject does something or has something done to it.

  • 5. EXAMPLE :- K. Viswanath directed sankarabharanam Sankarabharanam was directed by K. Viswanath Active voice Passive voice
  • 6. Rules to change active sentences to Passive sentences
    • Identify the SUBJECT , VERB and OBJECT of the sentence .
    • The OBJECT of the Active sentence becomes the SUBJECT of the Passive sentence.
    • The “ be ” form must be used according to the tense of the verb.
    • PAST PARTICIPLE of the verb must be added.
    • Preposition “ by” must be added .
    • The SUBJECT of the Active sentence becomes the OBJECT of the Passive voice.
