  • Teratron Teratron On slide 51, a confidence interval calculation example is shown. I don't know how or why it is calculated like that. From section 5.2.2, page 131 of Tom Mitchell's Machine Learning book, the calculation ought to be 1.96 * (0.8*0.2/100)^0.5 = 0.8 ± 0.0784 = (0.7216, 0.8784). The interval shown in the slide is not symmetric around 0.8. 3 years ago
