  • 9. Muted • A device used to change the sound and volume. Place Mute In Bell of instrument
  • 10. Muted • A well known muted sound you may have heard is at the beginning of Paulo Nutini’s ‘Pencil full of lead’.
  • 11. The Brass Family • All the instruments are made of Brass. • They all have a bell shape at the end of the instrument. • 3 have valves to produce different notes and 1 instrument has a slide. • This is the loudest family in the orchestra. Listen to each of the brass instruments individually
