    2. Tracker Systems Mission
      • Our mission is to provide a real-time GPS Tracking & Automated Vehicle location (AVL) system that
        • is intuitive and easy to use
        • will serve as a tool for companies to gain greater control and increased efficiency of their fleets and mobile workforce.
        • low cost and full feature set
        • provides a high return on investment.
    3. Tracker Systems History
      • Founded in 1986
        • The company was initially formed to sell two-way radio systems

      • In 2002, the company embarked on the development of tracking solutions for Nextel GPS-enabled handsets
        • An operational beta program was put into place that year
          • Full function JAVA app for the cell phone was developed
          • Back-end database server software was created
          • Server hardware and carrier-class facilities procured
          • Client-based mapping and reporting software was developed for client computers
      • In 2003, a test trial with select customers was completed
        • Feedback from customers was used to improve feature set and usability
        • “ Real World” customer use proved critical in guiding the company’s choice of GPS hardware platforms
    4. Tracker Systems History
      • Later in 2003, development of a pure AVL solution was begun (Embedded device)
        • Tracker Systems designed and manufactured its first generation tracking device
      • Commercial service was launched in 2004
      • In 2005, relationships struck with hardware vendors to meet increasing demand
      • In 2007, development of a web-based solution was begun
      • Summer 2008 – Web solution goes live
    5. The FleetTracker AVL System
      • FleetTrackerAVL is an automated vehicle location system comprised of several parts.
        • A compact wireless GPRS modem w/ integrated GPS
        • Database servers in Tier 1 carrier-class facilities collect data from the embedded modems
          • Highly secure
          • Redundant power and communications systems
        • User facing web application is built with leading edge technologies including PHP and Java
      • All databases are replicated with nightly backups to remote offsite servers.
      • Extensive monitoring (audible, email and text) of all systems and subsystems.
      • Monitoring points include services/agents, webservers, disks, specific data patterns.
    6. FleetTracker AVL Reporting Parameters
      • The system provides the end-user with specific real time and historical information
        • Location information is automatically transmitted every two minutes when the unit is in motion
        • Location information is also sent when:
          • The ignition is turned ON / OFF
          • The vehicle idles for 5 minutes or longer
          • The vehicle is parked for more than an hour
          • The internal backup battery is activated
          • An auxiliary input is changed (optonal)
    7. FleetTracker AVL Components
      • Graphical map overlay using Microsoft Virtual Earth
        • Familiar controls for zoom in/out, pan, and multiple map views
      • Easy access to Tracker controls
        • Standard, Landmark, Geofence, and MapIt! features
      • Display entire fleet
        • Color-coded icons display vehicle status
        • Labels and pop-up boxes provide additional info
          • Provides unit summary info
          • Links to unit detail and reports
      • Display Unit Map detail
        • Shows color-coded “breadcrumb trail”
        • Detailed information is displayed on main screen
        • Easy access to reports
    8. FleetTracker AVL Components
      • Reports are used to identify exceptions or historical data
        • Over speed report
        • Excessive idle report
        • Stop/Start report
        • Auxiliary input report
        • Event History
        • CSV download
      • Alerts help to identify critical events
        • Tow Guard identifies when a vehicle is moving with the ignition OFF
        • Battery Guard indicates the modem has switched to its internal back up battery
        • Unauthorized Use indicates the vehicle is being used during times not allowed
