PhoneCom 2011 Workshop Goals• Discuss the sensing, networking and application issues of smartphones, and how these can be solved by creating model, frameworks, and implementing context engines on smartphones• Bring together context computing, social computing, and hardware researchers along with user interface designers and practitioners 2
  3. 3. Why is this important?• Still many things difficult to use on the phone• Context-aware computing has not fully been realized on the phone• Phone computing software and models are fragmented, no unified framework or model 3
