  • Welcome everyone to the session It’s exciting to have everyone together finally Comment that I am aware that time is precious and will try and fit this into an hour if possible.
  • So what does this means for you and your organisation? Well firstly, Congratulations on becoming one of the last of the early adopters. Funding for 2009 will be aimed at those who already have elearning embedded into their organisation. This means that we need to get your organisation to a comfortable stage with elearning if you are wanting to seek these funding opportunities. The main source of funding for elearning is from the Australian Flexible Learning Framework. The competition for this funding is fierce, and ACE does get from the same bucket as tafe. But that doesn’t mean that it isn’t achievable. Partnerships are looked upon fondly, and the flexibility for ACE to adapt to circumstances gives you all an advantage. But first you need to have a plan, and address these points. They want you to be organised, - and have your partnerships established before you apply.
  • Tackle the culture change.
  • Learners reactions Learning results Staff and trainers behaviours Business results – what is the return on investment.
  • Sessions starting in September. Will send you out the information.
  • Op Analysis also available on the wiki.

    12. 12. E-standards for Training The Framework’s E-standards for Training business activity has a total of $80,000 available for up to 6 projects for registered training organisations (RTOs) to trial emerging technologies that may have wider applications in the national training system. focused on developing national standards to underpin essential e-learning infrastructure, conducting research into new technology areas and providing guidance materials and tools to support the effective use of emerging technologies. 13. 13. Toolboxes The Flexible Learning Toolboxes Business Activity aims to ensure that VET practitioners and learners continue to benefit from a national collection of learning and assessment resources (Toolboxes) that directly support the implementation of nationally endorsed training packages and meet state and territory e learning priorities. In 2008, production of new learning objects will be streamlined to provide a more rapid response as urgent new training and assessment needs are identified. The Toolbox focus on modelling educational quality will be retained while incorporating online assessment and RPL tools where appropriate. E-learning and assessment resources will be developed in dual form - Toolboxes and Toolbox learning objects - to align with nationally endorsed training packages and cover high-demand training areas and identified skills shortages. Approximately $300,000 will be available to fund three industries in the first year of the development of three-year strategic workforce development plans incorporating e-learning in those industries. This is a long-term strategy and depends on the Framework receiving funding to continue development beyond 2008. A further amount of approximately $300,000 will be available for application by industries for up to seven business clusters to engage in one-year projects focusing on e-learning to deliver industry training. Funding will require matching by industry. Explore and Experience Loddon Mallee Region
