2. d When you think of South Africa, you might think of a place full of wonder; the different animals and beautiful scenery. And yet, there is a whole different story to this country. A very violent story.
3. In South Africa, you’re more likely to die than win the lottery. Car bombings, shootings, stabbings, rape (meaning death there) and other things are constantly happening.
4. Riots, fights and other things like this usually tend to get out of hand; it’s not uncommon.
5. Living in South Africa isn’t as pleasant as it may seem. Having to carry a gun around with you every day because someone might randomly come and attack you- what kind of life is that? There are more deaths, murders really, in South Africa in one year than there are murders throughout the entire Iraq/U.S war. (Above) Graves of U.S Soldiers who died in the war.
6. One reason for so many deaths would be because of the disease HIV & AIDS. Almost all of the population in South Africa is infected with these diseases. HIV & AIDS can be transmitted from being sexually active and un-protective, natural birth, sharing needles, breast feeding, and even coming into contact with the blood of another infected.
7. AIDS & HIV are big problems in S.A. Almost the whole population in S.A have AIDS.
8. HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) is a virus that attacks the immune system. It makes our immune system very weak, and without it even a common disease could become life threatening.
9. AIDS (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome) is the next level for HIV. AIDS is when someone’s immune system is extremely damaged, and have been infected with one of the other infections that is connected to HIV.
10. There can always be another story to everything; I just showed you a glimpse of South Africa’s. There really is much more to it, but the pictures and the reasons were so frightening… And really, to inappropriate for school. Thank you for watching. :D
