  • 2. Track running events
    • 2 mile
    • 1 mile
    • 100m dash
    • 400m dash
    • 200m dash
    • 70m dash
    • 55m hurdles
    • 1600m relay
    • 3200m relay
  • 3. Field Events
    • High Jump
    • Long Jump
    • Shot Put
    • Pole Vault
  • 4. Grades Grades are very important in sports. If you are getting low or failing test scores and are failing that class you can’t run that day of the competition. If you are marginal you get a few days to get it back up from failing.
  • 5. Good Attitude
    • Attitude is very important; bad sportsmanship is not okay to make fun of the other team if they lose. If you lose don’t get mad and be pouting all day just say good game.
  • 6. Form
    • In track there are things that you need to know before you try that event. For hurdles you need to know the form so that you won’t pull a muscle when you are landing, and even shot put you need perfect form so that you won’t pull a muscle in your arm while you are throwing. High jump is also very important, if you don’t have perfect form you wont be able to jump up above the bar without hitting it off of the stand. Pole Vault is hard to get the form right too. It is also important that you stretch before you do any other running.
  • 7. Track And Field
    • Track and Field is a very fun sport even though your legs will be sore the first week or so. Track meets are very fun but you have to pay attention because if you miss an event during that meet you will have to run two miles at the next practice, so you need to listen for your events.
  • 8. Long Distance
    • If you like running for a long time long distance is definitely for you. When you are running you can’t sprint, you need to pace yourself so you don’t tire yourself out. You usually run at least a mile for each practice. It is tough work but in the end it pays off in the end when you cross the finish line and win.
  • 9. Sprinting Sprinting isn't very hard but you do have to always run your hardest even if it feels like your legs are going to fall off. If you want to get better traction on your shoes you could always get a pair of running shoes with spikes on them because it helps you run a lot faster and you should be able to increase your time by at least 2 seconds.
  • 10. Have fun
            • The most important thing in track is to try your hardest and do your personal best. In the end it doesn’t matter if you win or lose it just matters that you had fun. Running is very fun and it’s a great way to stay fit.
