    • HOPE foundation, the Indian affiliate of HOPE worldwide, is helping bring relief to flood victims. 6/27/2013
    • 6/27/2013 The HOPE foundation team stationed themselves at the Chinyali Sodh helipad where those who had been rescued arrived on army helicopters.
    • 6/27/2013
    • 6/27/2013 Survivors told our workers they had walked from three to four days and traveled about 40 – 50 miles to reach the helipad in Harsil where they were airlifted to safety.
    • The northern India state of Uttarakhand is experiencing heavy flooding due to an unusually early and harsh monsoon season. • Remote location and rough terrain are making rescue efforts difficult • Approximately 73,000 have been evacuated • Up to 1,000 feared dead due to flooding and landslides • Tens of thousands are missing • Immediate need for food, drinking water and medicines 6/27/2013
    • 6/27/2013 HOPE foundation provided drinking water for people arriving from the disaster areas.

    • The HOPE foundation team provided food items such as: milk powder, rice, sugar, oatmeal, noodles and biscuits.

    • HOPE foundation, the Indian affiliate of HOPE worldwide, is distributing drinking water, medicines, rice, sugar, tea, footwear and other basic necessities to those who have been rescued. 6/27/2013
    • 6/27/2013 In addition to food and basic supplies, we distributed medicines to comfort the pilgrims’ aching and swollen feet.
