  1. 1. COPENHAGEN, SUMMER 2012THESE ARE SOME OF MY FAVOURITE BUILDINGS THAT I VISITED DURING MY HOLIDAY TO COPENHAGEN.
  2. 2. COPENHAGEN CITY HALL A visually impressive building.
  3. 3. NYHAVNNice place to eat & drink and catch a canal tour boat.
  4. 4. DANISH CENTRE OF ARCHITECTUREVisited here, nice building on the outside, architecture models and future development plans for Copenhagen on the inside.
  5. 5. CARLSBERG BREWERY Enjoyable place to visit, original brewery still in operation.Carlsberg very much a success story for Copenhagen, a big industry.
  6. 6. COPENHAGEN CENTRALLovely design work on the pillars here.
  7. 7. COPENHAGEN CENTRALOutside an interesting style (national romantic/historicist) Heinrich Wenck (1851-1936) built in 1911.
  8. 8. AMALIENBORG PALACEThe residence of the Danish Royal Family.
  9. 9. ROSENBORG CASTLE Dutch Renaissance style Castle in the heart of Copenhagen.Originally built in 1606 for Christian IV as a summer house and later expanded.
  10. 10. FREDERIKSBORG PALACEBuilt as a royal residence for King Christian IV restored after a fire by large contributions from Carlsberg.
  11. 11. IBSENS HOTELIbsens Hotel, that we stayed in, lovely style of building that can be found around Copenhagen.
  12. 12. ORSTED PARKA pleasant park near the hotel, surrounded by buildings common to Copenhagen.
  13. 13. COPENHAGEN BOTANICAL GARDENQuite humid inside, cast iron spiral staircase to upper level, nice to have a stroll around.
  14. 14. ROUND TOWERAnother architectural project of Christian IV built as an astronomical observatory. Interesting spiral corridor inside to the top.
  15. 15. ROOF TOP VIEW FROM ROUND TOWERFantastic view from the top of the Round Tower over Copenhagen.
