      • That's not a VLE it's a repository. That's not a repository it's a content management system. That's not a CMS it's a VLE.
      • VLEs were first seen as content management systems for HE
        • Are they?
        • Do they do a good job at content management?
        • Are they anything else (as well)?
      • VLEs have also been seen as repositories of teaching and learning materials
        • [same qs as above]
      • Repositories for content management?
        • “Better management and sharing of teaching and learning materials by individual teaching practitioners.”
        • How do repositories and CMS compare, e.g. version control
      • So, why do VLEs (e.g.) persist?
      • Why don’t we have a CETIS CMS SIG?
      • What are the conditions under which each approach should thrive
        • (niche).
      • How do the different types of system involved interact?
        • Do they complement each other?
      • What might changes might we see in the next few years?
        • Open content
        • Personal learning environments
        • Web 2
