Map of the CETIS metadata and digital repository interoperability domain - Presentation Transcript

    1. Map of the CETIS Metadata and Digital Repository Interoperability Domain Phil Barker, 2005. © Heriot-Watt University. Available from: http://www.icbl.hw.ac.uk/publicationFiles/2005/MDRDomainMap/ You may reproduce all or any part of this presentation but please retain acknowledgement of authorship & copyright, and if practicable a link to the original. Also I would appreciate it if you let me know how you are using it and sent me any feedback <philb@icbl.hw.ac.uk>
      • The following slides present a map of the interests covered by the CETIS metadata and digital repository domain.
      • The first slide shows the background to all CETIS activity, the second the broad areas covered in the metadata and digital repository domain, the third shows the finer grain activities and interests, and the final slide shows where a selection of specifications and standards fit into this map.
      • I’ve attempted to place related areas close to each other, and areas closest to the core of CETIS’s work near the middle of the picture (but the constraints of working in a flat two dimensional space make it impossible to represent these relationships with complete accuracy!).
