1. POWERPOINT : HOW TO DESIGN ECOVER USING POWERPOINT
As the number of EBooks on net grows, the needs for attractive Ebook
covers also expand. An attractive Ebook cover catches the eye of a
visitor and draws him towards your site. In this tutorial we'll design a
nice Ebook cover using powerpoint.
Example of an ecover designed using powerpoint is as below:
Open your powerpoint application
Click on blank presentation and front the top bars click on design, it will
show something related to these:
Now choose any desired themes of your choice or browse your computer
if you have a nice picture to use as theme.
From the left side bar in design section click on slide orientation and
change it to portrait.
2. click HOME, from the left top bar click on
layout and change is to blank.
Go to insert – shapes – rectangles { choose any desired shape you wish}
Draw it at the left side of the theme as below:
goto HOME click on the rectangle you have drawn
Under drawing section edit the rectangle to your taste.
Goto insert – shape and choose any shape as your text background as
below:
3. from the INSERT section click on wordart to insert
text to your presentation and drag it to your desired place. Align on the
text and edit it under drawing to your desire taste as below:
now for the right side rectangle click on WORDART
at the INSERT section write any text you want to use and align the text
and go back to HOME.
At the PARAGRAPH section click on text direction to orientate the text
as below:
4. you can also edit the text fonts sizes etc at the
HOME section.
Follow the same procedure to add any other text you wish to include in
your cover.
To insert picture
Goto insert section and click on picture to upload from your computer or
click on clipart to use default pictures.
After all the process, your cover should look like something related to
these or more than these depending on how you design it.
after you are through with the design, to save your
project, follow the step showed in the picture below and save as picture
and click on current slide when a pop up window appears as which slide
to save.
5. save as – other formats – jpeg file
interchange – save.
