Brief Biography.• Born 9th July 1937 in Bradford Yorkshire.• David Hockney has worked in painting, printmaking, set design and photography.• He studied at Bradford school of art, 1953-1957 and the Royal college of art from 1959- 1962.• David Hockney was part of the Pop art movement in the 1960’s.• He lived and worked in California for many years, but has been living in East Yorkshire for the last 10 years, where he has been painting from the local landscape.
