    • Construction health and safety
      Those who appoint contractors to undertake building or maintenance work have clearly defined responsibilities under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2007 (CDM 07). Similarly, contractors delivering this work have to ensure they possess and can demonstrate the required levels of competence. Failure to follow the requirements of CDM07 means you are more likely to have a dangerous or fatal accident during construction work. Also, breaches of the law could result in work having to be stopped by the HSE and potential prosecution in the most serious circumstances.

      Alverprise Limited offer an initial meeting free of charge to assess where you are now with regards to compliance with CDM07 and industry best practice. Following the initial review, we can assist Clients to ensure their duties are discharged including checking competence and resources of all parties, providing pre-construction information to designers and contractors and, for notifiable projects, provision of CDM co-ordinator role and preconstruction phase checks.
      For contractors, we can deliver training including assistance with CSCS card attainment or toolbox talks and will review and update policies and procedures to meet legal requirements, client expectations or attainment of accreditation to CHAS or similar schemes. Possession of recognised health and safety accreditation can be used as a tool to promote your business and minimise duplication when submitting pre-qualification questionnaires.
