Primary diagnostic mouldings taken

Fully extended lower primary moulding

Upper moulding using alginate syringe

Impressions cast in vacuum mixed dental stone

Fabrication of close fitting baseplates

Secondary impressions taken using custom baseplates

Incisal edge of anterior teeth measured using the papillometer

Secondary upper impression and baseplate ready to be used for facebow recording

Establishing tooth length and position

Assessing horizontal plane of upper denture teeth

Inter-pupilary line parallel to bite plane

Bite rims re-assessed

Attaching gothic arch tracing plates

Gothic arch tracing recorded with patient standing

Tracing arrowhead clearly marked

Centric relation recorded and secured

Bite registration showing locked condylator

Maxilliary cast mounted on articulator

Checking centre position of front teeth

Personalised setting of remaining anterior teeth

Positioning of all upper teeth on articulator using static laser

Posterior teeth set in a ‘pestle and mortar’ configuration according to the Swiss denture concept

Trial dentures partially waxed up

Completed wax trial denture in place

Wax dentures being prepared for polymerisation

Wax removed in preparation for acrylic colouring

Placement of multi-layered gum colouring acrylics to lower denture

Denture flask undergoing hydraulic compression

Denture acrylic added to blend with Candulor gum colouring acrylics

Dentures deflasked and remounted on articulator for calibration

Dentures hand polished

Dentures re-mounted on articulator for occlusal calibration
