Nanotechnology coatings from Nanoman / Nanotech Products

  1. 1. Peter Everett Nanotech Products Pty Ltd
  2. 2. The word itself is a combination of nano, from the Greek “nanos” (or Latin “nanus”) and means dwarf or midget. Nanotechnology relates to the production, research and use of extremely small structures. It is the art and science of manipulating matter at the nanoscale
  3. 3. Nanometre is the scale used to measure objects in the nano world One nm (short for nanometre) equals one millionth of a millimetre One nanometre represents about 4 to 6 atoms Hard to comprehend
  4. 4. Nanotechnology is based on the manipulation of single atoms and molecules, to structure and re-structure complex atomic formations. The scale of a nano-molecule relates to a basketball compared to the size of the Earth
  5. 5. When molecules that normally bustle about unorganised in materials, are structured in a way that each atom stay where it should be, the impossible becomes possible. Materials get new powers when the atoms are controlled and closely arranged. Nanotechnology manipulates molecules so that they organise themselves. Nature serves as the model. The aim of nanotechnology is making molecules organise themselves without the help of a human.

  8. 8. Howdoesitwork Different Nano coating for each different type of surface All substrates are not the same Porous / non porous Metal / glass / wood / stone / fabric One product does not do everything
  9. 9. Howdoesitwork The nano particles organise themselves to coat and bond with the surface. When the surface is smooth and non absorbent, nano particles combine with the surface so liquids are repelled taking contaminants with them. With porous surfaces, the nano particles fill up the pores. Fungus, lichen, algae and moss (in and outside) can no longer adhere to the surface. Dirt and liquids can't get into the surface and are simply repelled. This is similar with textiles (natural and synthetic fibres), the fibres are surrounded with the coating.
  10. 10. Howdoesitwork The 'nanos' form an invisible barrier similar to glass. Only the 'nanos' remain on the sealed surfaces, while the carring agent evaporates. The look, texture and breathability of the treated materials are not affected. Nano coatings are only a few nanometres thin and cannot be seen with the naked eye.
  11. 11. Howdoesitwork Phase 1: Particles arrange themselves intelligently during application. Phase 2: The binding components migrate to the surface, the anti-adhesive components are directed out towards the air. Phase 3: Nanos self-organize and form an ultra- thin, protective

  28. 28. Otherproducts Anti Grafitti Marine Anti Foul Plastic Universal – Be AMAZED It protects mechanical, electrical and electronic components, assemblies, devices, machines and installations against all forms of moisture, without impeding their electrical conductivity. It ensures electrical conductivity, even under water, usual short-circuiting. The same applies for the functionality of electronic parts and appliances or systems. It protects all kinds of metal from corrosion and rust and lubricates the coated metal.
  29. 29. ItsBenefits Quick and easy to use Economical and long lasting Dirt Oil and Water repellent No harsh chemical needed to clean coated surfaces Environmentally friendly Easy to clean / self cleaning surface It saves time and money Durability and Longevity
  30. 30. Predictions Nanotechnology users will exceed 250 million households within the next 5 years. Rapidly growing demand due to unlimited possible applications for surfaces. 5 million business users forecast within 2 years. Today, the nanotechnology market is growing more than twice as fast as biotechnology sector
  31. 31. It is rated as one of the key technology of the 21st century. Potentially the basis for the next industrial revolution. The true potential of nanotechnology has not yet been exploited. Don’t be left behind ItsFuture
