  • 2. W hat is Streaming media ? It is media that is consumed (read, heard, viewed) while it is being delivered. It can be used on com puter, mobile phone and other mobile unit.
  • 3. H istory of Streaming Media In the 1970s, academic experiments proved out the basic concepts and feasibility of streaming media on computers. In the late 1980s, the primary technical issues with streaming were invented. The late 1990s, as the great progress on computer and network connection, it become used widely. Now the growth rate is more than 10% per year.
