Idi 2500 Cut Sheet - Presentation Transcript

    1. LOCAL LAPTOP FLASHING BEACON OR SIGN OUTPUT RADAR NTCIP TO SENSOR CENTRAL TRAFFIC INPUT The IDI 2500 is part of a family of pre-packaged ITS Controllers and is specifically designed to detect and alarm during congestion events. The IDI 2500 is particularly suitable for work zone safety, where congestion at a work zone taper can cause unsafe conditions. In fact, it is ideal for any traffic situation where a back-up can compromise safety - motorists approaching blind corners, short off- ramps and similar unsafe environments can now be alerted to slow or stopped traffic ahead. A highly flexible configuration scheme is supplied as standard. Congestion thresholds (speed and occupancy) can be set per lane, with variable hysteresis. Interfaces to the popular makes of radar sensors are provided, and device drivers can be added for any make of traffic sensor. Internally, all threshold calculation is performed using the NTCIP standards, which makes this device truly independent of radar or sign manufacturer. Powerful communication options are available to meet any application, including spread spectrum radio connection to the radar device. An optional comprehensive statistics package is available, to upload traffic and congestion alarm data into an Access database. Data from this database may be filtered, printed in reports, graphed or exported to Excel for further analysis. Intelligent Devices, Inc is committed to providing a line of powerful and easy-to-use products for the Intelligent Transportation Industry. “Delivering the Promise”
