  • Menu items in Excel
    • ReportBuilder can be found in the Add-Ins menu
    • Login using your SiteCatalyst login details
    • Create – a new request/report
    • Schedule – save the report to be emailed automatically with data updated

  • Right Click to access options too
    • Once you have added the first request, can right click to access ReportBuilder
    • Add new requests
    • Edit, delete or refresh existing requests
    • Copy requests
    • Can paste linked to same Excel cells or relative to Excel cells
    • Copy all requests in worksheet
    • Highlight multiple requests to perform action for all in one go

    Select Account Suite
    Most options can be linked to an Excel cell via this little symbol
    Most of the reports you are used to seeing can be found in here
    There are numerous date range options, from fixed to rolling to offset from current day
    Choose the granularity for which data will appear

  • Date Range Options
    • Can select commonly used preset dates
    • Yesterday, last week, this year, etc
    • Can select fixed dates
    • Can be flexible and select rolling dates
    • This allows for a report to update with the latest data when refreshed
    • Can use custom expressions which are very flexible
    • Can link dates from cells too

    Two ways of customising the layout
    Identify where you want the output to appear
    Select the metrics and dimensions to appear in the output, defined by report selected
    Select if label should appear in output
    The metric can be the values or averages, subtotals, etc
    Apply a filter to the output
    Preview the layout of the report

    • Can select most popular values
    • However many of them you want
    • OR specific values
    • OR apply the usual range of filters to select values
    • BOTH options can be linked to Excel cells

  • Requests can be Re-used
    Create a request, in this example linked to the variable based on the Excel cell but the account suite hard coded (yellow)
    Copy and paste this request relative in the rows below (green)
    The new requests automatically link to the different variable names
    Copy and paste all requests absolute in the second and third columns (blue)
    The new requests stay linked to the variable names
    • Highlight a column of requests and right click “Edit Requests” to change the Report Suite for all in one go
