    • Understand the concept of leisure and recreation and look at the type of provisions that can be made.

  • 3. Why have I picked the topic Leisure and Recreation for the scenario?
    In your groups using the paper on the table, brainstorm everything you know about Leisure and Recreation.
  • 4. Leisure time the time you choose to do something
    Recreation time you enjoy something active
    Passive leisure – not physically doing activities e.g. cinema, watching TV
    Intrinsic Rewards e.g. feeling good, sense of achievement.
    Active leisure – taking part in Activities
    Extrinsic Rewards e.g. medals

  • 34. Instructions
    Two teams.
    Idea is to try and link 5 squares in a row across or upward/downward.
    Pupils choose letter and are asked question to which the answer starts with the chosen letter.
    If they get it right they own the square, click on square once for Yellow twice for Pink.
    The other side now gets a go.
    The opposition can attempt to spoil the chain by capturing a square by choosing an already won letter. The square will change as many times as required. One click after it is coloured will bring back the other colour. (If they get it wrong the original side gets two goes in a row.)
    A square to be captured only once otherwise the game could go on for a long time.
