About Montreal!WHY MONTREAL? In 2006, Daniel and Michael travelled to Montreal with some of our closest friends to support other friends compe;ng in the Gay Games. We fell in love with this European‐style city then, and decided to celebrate our wedding in a place that has had full marriage equality since 2004. OLD MONTREAL All wedding events take place within a 5 block radius in this picturesque and roman;c sec;on of Montreal. The historic, once‐walled district of one of North America’s largest ci;es was seLled by the French in 1642. Interes;ngly, Montreal is now the second‐largest French‐speaking metropolis outside of Paris in the Northern Hemisphere (don’t worry though, it is completely bi‐lingual).
