    2. What is a podcast?
      • iPod + broadcast = podcast
      • Playable on Demand (POD) Broadcast
      • Individual broadcasts can be shared or downloaded via the web for playback on portable media player or computer
      • Series of broadcasts can be
      • downloaded automatically
      • Subscription to RSS feed

    4. How does a podcast work? Content providers/ YOU create a file (MP3 audio file) and make it available on the Internet Episode Recorded An audio “feed” is created (list of all episode URLs) RSS Feed RSS Feed URL YOU make the feed URL available to your intended audience
    5. How does it work? End user uses an “aggregator” to subscribe to and manage feeds RSS Aggregator Podcast aggregator runs in the computer’s background and pulls down any new episode in the RSS Feed that is subscribed to New Downloads Listen Downloaded episode is played, replayed, or archived on computer or portable media player
