Course Feedback

 1. 2.

How to create a blog

How to create a personal website

New web 2.0 tools

How to use web 2.0 tools in the classroom

The benefit of making your classroom a “classroom 2.0”

 2. 3.

I can have my students write a blog to reflect on the information I just taught them.

I now know that I can create websites, wikis, and blogs for my students to go to in order to learn. Knowing that my students will be digital natives, I can accommodate to this and give them information in a medium they prefer.

 3. 4.

I can create interesting power points for my students to view.

I have learned about the ASSURE model.

I am now more familiar with planning instruction that integrated technology and media.

 4. 5.

If someone were to ask me about this

course I would tell them that they will learn

so much about the internet and

technology. Web 2.0 is a whole new world

that I never knew existed. There are so

many tools available to use in your

classroom. I would also tell someone that

you will learn all about the digital native. You

will learn about what they use and how you can

accommodate these learners in your classroom.

 5. 6.

Honestly, I am still a little confused with

some of the aspects of this course. I have

definitely learned a lot. There are things

that I never thought I would be doing. I

didn’t think that I would create a website,

create and maintain a blog, and I

certainly didn’t think I would be making a

website. The one thing that still confuses

me however is the wiki. I still do not

completely understand it. Overall though I am

very happy with this class and know that I have

come away with some great tools to use.

 6. 7.

The web 2.0 tools

Del.icio.us (it is my new favorite thing!)

Online textbook

Online games to review information

Blogs

Mind mapping tools

Group chats

 7. 8.

Some articles seemed to be a bit repetitive

Wiki (I still don’t understand what to do with the one I created)

Whole class chat (sometimes I felt I got more done and learned more doing the group work rather than when the whole class met)

 8. 9.

Like I said earlier, the one thing that I am

confused about is the wiki. I created it but

have no idea what to do with it. I

understand the one we have created with

our group, but my individual one, forget it.

I have no idea. I don’t know if I’ve

supposed to have been putting things in it

or not. If I have, I don’t know what was

supposed to be in it. I feel like this is the

most confused I’ve been about something in

a class in a long time.

 9. 10.

Overall, I’ve been enjoying the class. It is a

lot of work, but I’ve been learning a lot. All

of the web 2.0 tools are extremely useful

and I know I will be using them in my

classroom one day.

Here is the link to my podcast.

http://kristenkiley.mypodcast.com/index.html
