ENGLISH <ul><li>Theme and Plot Chart </li></ul><ul><li>Theme is the main idea/message of the story that is related to life. </li></ul><ul><li>A plot chart shows changes over a period of time by drawing a continuous line from one data point to the next. It contains an exposition, rising action, climax, falling action, and resolution. </li></ul>

Vocabulary <ul><li>Exposition: background information given at the beginning of the story. </li></ul><ul><li>Rising action: the conflict gets complicated/ worse. </li></ul><ul><li>Climax: turning point, change in story. </li></ul><ul><li>Falling Action: the conflict between the protagonist and the antagonist unravels. </li></ul><ul><li>Resolution: the theme is revealed. </li></ul><ul><li>Protagonist: good guy </li></ul><ul><li>Antagonist: bad guy </li></ul>
