      • A brief but comprehensive synopsis of a business plan, an investment proposal, and/or a response to proposal , which highlights key points and is generally adapted/responsive for the intended audience.

      • Thoroughness and responsiveness to request for proposals.
      • Readers instinctively look at checklist completion, list of qualifications, project team and who project leaders are and their history of completion.
    8. Building your executive summary
      • Draft it at the beginning and complete it at the end.
      • Make sure you have a grab – a compelling statement so the reader is drawn into the proposal.
      • Be clear on your service/product and what benefit/solution you are providing.
      • Describe your competitive advantage
      • Describe your team – thoroughly
      • The Promise – the pitch – make sure that you are going to keep it.
      • The Ask – ask them to chose you and make sure you have made a compelling summary to take with you.
