Market and Promotion Proposal Campaign - Presentation Transcript

    1. July 20th, 2009 Dear Sir or Madam: Pressure is a film that teaches a life long lesson of the dangers of peer pressure and it’s damaging results. Making the right choices in life and becoming a leader is what this film intends to teach. It teaches ethics. Young adolescents die every day around the world because of poor leadership, the company they keep or the wrong decisions being made. “PRESSURE” the film takes you back to the 80’s reminiscing what life was all about. It was about fun, parties and dancing. Social life for young adolescents was joyful until the crack cocaine generation in 1985. Poor leadership in a household can lead to an adolescent leaning toward the streets for a role model and comfort. This film is very important in this day and age. The film doesn’t expect to save every life of a child. But if it can save one life, then the film served its purpose. We would hope that this film would become a classic to continue to save the lives of children around the world and can also be used as a tool to educate schools around the globe about Peer “PRESSURE”. The film has a positive message in the end and it’s hitting a core in families that have already watched the film with their adolescents. We've even received support from the Philippines and the Netherlands thus far. We feel that we can get the POSITIVE word spread through the globe once we can start gaining the momentum the film deserves. We are seeking to save the lives of our adolescents around the world...If this film can gain popularity... then we know that our message is working and we need sponsors to help us out and become apart of this positive campaign. You will see that the film does not beat around the bush and it does not tell fairy tales to our children who see things different.... The film is raw and it speaks the truth of what is actually happening on the streets today around the world dealing with peer pressure. But at the same time, in the end of the film... you will see why people are starting to gravitate towards the film... We did not produce a film about senseless killing and gangs... this is a film about choices...making the right choices and we want our adolescents to choose... "LIFE". We are seeking Investors/ sponsors/ donations from organization/ foundations that are AGAINST the selling and the use of illegal narcotics. I wish to introduce to you.. “PRESSURE”, the live action drama. Pressure will take you way back to 1980 reminiscing what social life was all about. Break dancing and block parties A.K.A (Jams) was of the essence. The main character Karon becomes caught in the midst of peer pressure. As a young adolescent growing up along side the crack cocaine generation in 1985, an old time friend solicits the idea of hustling drugs in the neighborhood to keep up with the “Jones’s”. Karon only ponders the idea because of a steady financial hardship between him and his immediate family. Being a teenager during the most highest times of hip hop fashion and girls, can keep a teenager busy on trying to impress one’s peers. It became gut wrenching as he watched his mother struggle with everyday bills and sacrificing her fashion desires in order to keep him happy. In those days, sending your kid to the grocery store with food stamps was a great way to attract attention to yourself and to become embarrassed. Only Karon knows the pain his mother is going through as a single parent. After witnessing a near death experience, Karon enters into the crossroads of peer pressure. This is the time that he wished he could be back in 1985. He will now be faced upon real drama and will begin to understand the real meaning of … “PRESSURE”. The film is literally jousted in 1980 by the outstanding and convincing break dance b-boy performances by the original group est. in 1979…. The “DYNAMIC ROCKERS” and their rival
    2. b-boy group… the “SUPREME BEINGZ”. Their dance battle on film will be a true, non fictional unrehearsed performance. These two crews are going to go head to head to claim their place in b- boy history. It will be a non stop, minimum 5 - 6 minute battle. We have several up and coming powerful, special unknown talent attached who are going to play the lead principles of the film. Their names are… Damion Omar Lee, Chauncey Meeks Owens, Andrea Bordeaux, Daniel Molina, James Shippy, and Sharieff Carson. Every name mentioned above have theater background.
