Aussie Rules: Jack Bobridge powered his way to the Under-23 World Championship Time-Trial title.
The 20 year-old clocked a time of 40 minutes 44.79 seconds on the 33.2-kilometre course near Lake Lugano on the Italian border.

Bobridge vows to beat British in 2012
New World Champion Jack Bobridge has vowed to help Australia knock the mighty British track cycling team off their perch at London 2012.Bobridge, wimnner of the Under-23 men's time trial at the world road race championships in Switzerland, believes Australia can regain the dominance they held over the track events at the 2004 Olympics.
"The GB team has upset the track hierarchy for the past couple of years but the support we're getting now is going to help bring us back on top," Bobridge said."Give us three years and we'll be back to show that we're the best trackies in the world."
Bobridge recently signed a two-year deal with professional road team Garmin and said the US-based ProTour team's readiness to support his track ambitions with Australia was paramount to his decision. The 20-year-old was part of the team that helped Australia to the bronze medal race-off in the team pursuit at last year's Olympic Games in Beijing.
……. … but it was Bobridge's performance that was the talk of the race … (2009 Tour Down Under)
Cycling Athlete commentator Phil Liggett says "he is the biggest talent I've seen in Australia in a long, long time".
"Jack has the right attitude, the body and has the will to win," Liggett said. "He's got the same attitude to the sport as Lance Armstrong had at 19."
Liggett believes Bobridge will be a phenomenon in the sport.
      IN THE NEWS …..
South Australian sensation Jack Bobridge said he was stunned when invited for a secret ride in the Adelaide Hills with the Texan prince of cycling, Lance Armstrong.
Adelaide based Bobridge has been lauded as the future star of Australian cycling by critics who have described the powerful cyclist as being the next Stuart O'Grady.
