  • 7. 1.3 REWARD • Every company needs a strategic reward system for employees. • 4 areas of rewards: compensation, benefits, recognition & appreciation. • Type of rewards also has been characterized as 2 types: Extrinsic rewards Intrinsic rewards
  • 8. EXTRINSIC REWARDS • Concrete on the all tangible type of reward that employee receives. Eg: • Money • Job responsibilities • Benefits • Flexible schedules • And etc…
  • 9. INTRINSIC REWARDS • Tend to give personal satisfaction to employee or individual and less tangible such as: • Positive relationship • Meaningful work • Competency • Choice • Progress
