IntroductIon
An artist’s portfolio displayed digitally in a portable document format (PDF) is
the emerging standard for delivering visuals, audio and video enabling artists
in various media to present collections of art work to suit target audiences.
A professionally designed PDF Portfolio more importantly demonstrates
the artist’s ability to effectively communicate in a timely manner and can
be surprisingly economical considering the frequent need for updates and
revisions.
Self-promotional materials such as a web site, e-mail news, removable media,
as well as print versions is obviously effective forms of presentation (assuming
they are well-designed). However, it is the combined use of digital and printed
materials that make the distinction in being remembered.
I have reviewed hundreds of portfolios for two different arts magazines,
published several issues featuring many successful creative professionals,
and developed PDF portfolios, slideshow portfolios, site portfolios, and print
portfolios over a ten-year period.

(PDF) in the early 90s for sharing secure printable multi-page documents
Currently, my clientele is primarily photographers. However, I have enjoyed
