  • 1. The LeRoy V. Good Library at MCC’s Brighton campus supports student success through its many resources and services. This tour will introduce you to key locations on each of our 3 public access floors. We’re so glad you’re here. Come on in! WELCOME TO THE LE ROY V. GOOD LIBRARY!
  • 2. MAIN LEVEL (2ND FLOOR) Service Desk Research Desk Student Technology Help Desk Computers Group Study Area New Books Ready Reference Current Magazines CDs/Videos/DVDs Copiers/Scanner
  • 3. Go to the Service Desk for research help and to borrow… • books/multimedia • study room/special collection keys • laptops • course reserves • materials from other libraries SERVICE DESK Your MCC student ID is your library card!
  • 4. Visit the MCC Student Technology Help Desk located on the Main Floor of the library if you need assistance with: • activating your MCC Network account • password resets/changes • M & S Drive connection • campus wireless connection MCC STUDENT TECHNOLOGY HELP DESK For details go to: MCC Student Technology Help Desk
  • 5. Computers near the front doors and in the Library Learning Lab give access to the Internet, the library catalog, article databases, Microsoft Office, etc. COMPUTERS Students get $15 of free printing from campus computers per semester. For details go to: Printing on the MCC Campuses
  • 6. The Main Floor of the library is a popular Group Study Area. Check out a laptop, find a table and start working! GROUP STUDY AREA Laptops and iPads are available at the Service Desk for 2 hour loan.
  • 7. Browse the New Books shelf to see items recently added to the library collection. NEW BOOKS Related Links List of New Books in the Library Ebrary: Online E-Books Database
  • 8. READY REFERENCE Encyclopedias and dictionaries on a variety of topics are shelved in Ready Reference. Additional titles are shelved upstairs with our regular book collection. These titles are for use within the library. Credo Reference and the Gale Virtual Reference Library are library databases containing many e-reference books.
  • 9. Current Magazines are arranged alphabetically by title on shelves at the back of the Main Floor. They are also listed in the library catalog. CURRENT MAGAZINES MCC Libraries subscribe to databases that give students access to hundreds of magazines and scholarly journals.
  • 10. Our DVDs, Videos & CDs are on shelves at the rear of the Main Floor. Borrow these items for up to 14 days. DVDs, VIDEOS & CDs
  • 11. LEISURE READING Our Leisure Reading book section is a rotating collection of popular and recently released titles.
  • 12. The library has 3 self-serve black & white copiers. Copies are 10 cents per page. Ask for help at the Service Desk. COPIERS/SCANNER The scanner in the computer area is a popular tool.
  • 13. 3RD FLOOR Quiet Study Areas Group Study Areas Study Rooms Books – Call #s A – PZ Your fellow students thank you!
  • 14. QUIET STUDY AREAS The 3rd and 4th Floors of the Library have both group study areas and quiet study areas.

This room houses books and videos on topics relating to those topics. A key is at the Service Desk.
  • 19. Librarians in our Library Instruction Center work with classes to give hands-on help to students working on research projects. Stop by the Research Desk to talk to a librarian in person.
