Letting Go

 1. 1. Running Head: My Self-Image for Happiness
Positive Images
Anthony Wallace, CALA, ND
Executive Administrator
P.C.D.I. Healthcare and Consultants of Texas
My Self-Image for Happiness
Introduction
It is important for the practitioner to know his/her craft in order to provide the patient with the best care. There are practitioners that believe that it is best to provide all natural remedies and sometime that may not be the case in question. In naturopathy, when assessing a client it is best to ask questions that pin points the problem. The question and the treatment need to be as simple as in can get according to their understanding and education.
We have to put the patient first because that is how we are able to stay in business and with the right remedies, you have a patient that is satisfied and able to tell others of your work and more patients will come. There are many areas of my life that needs work. Since being here at Kaplan University and practicing natural medicine. I am still in the beginning stages of knowing my craft and how to apply that art to the patient population. I feel that as a Naturopathic Doctor I must have all development stages of my life in a natural flow in order to show my patients that natural medicine works.
I still have some ways to go regarding physical because I still have some weight to lose but since starting my first class here at Kaplan I was 257.7 and now as of today I am 195.0. I still have a little ways to go but I am getting there. I want to be health in all areas of life that includes spiritually, which praying and meditating daily makes a person more tuned in with the inner peace that can be displayed when patients are looking for service from me. I have to be also psychologically in a good frame of mind in order to prescribe the right treatments for the patients with accuracy and responsibility. There are some issues that I am dealing with regarding absent father and past abuse issues but I am able to let it go and move on to my happiness. I want until I reached college that I was able to peace things together and able to see the future where most put me down and said that I will not be anything, I am now going to be Dr. Anthony Wallace, ND and I thank God for it.
I will know for the future that by meditating on what good for me spiritually and psychologically my physical will fall in place to ultimate health. If a patient feels good then they are more able to stay healthy on the outside.
My Self-Image for Happiness
Assessment
I fell that is very important for the practitioner to walk in perfect health. I understand that now in today’s time regarding the agriculture standards and practices we are not as healthy as our ancestors of the past because of the preservatives added in our food supply to increase shelf life. I would rate my total assessment to be a health 8 because I still need to grow.
As a healthcare practitioner, my duty is to address all issues and resolve them accordingly. My spiritual maturity has grown because I have learned to meditate and relax more in the presence of my Lord and savior Jesus Christ. I have matured even in my physical life because I look back and saw mistakes that I could have corrected but I was too immature too even see it. I thank God for second chances at life because I’m now more mature to handle terrific opportunities and step into careers that actually have meaning to my life journey. The psych part of my journey since being here at Kaplan gave me the opportunity to try new things such as meditation and asking myself questions of how I can improve my day.
Goal Development
The goals for my life that I want to improve or grow in are my physic because I do not just want to look good but I want to feel good and have a positive self-image. The psychological part of me has grown since being here at Kaplan but I will still need to address past failure and learn how to accept it and go further in life. The spiritual goals of my life would be to remain humble and able to teach others how to live a life that is full of peace and wellness. This is also my goal everyday as a practitioner of Healthcare Services.
My Self-Image for Happiness
Practices for Personal health
The activities that I would say that are the most helpful would be the meditation and what I call self-image therapy. Self-image therapy is telling yourself everyday that you are worth having around and you are ok just the way you are. Prayer is a terrific way to get rid of a lot of frustration and put the past behind. I had to realize that by being 33 years of age I realize at 32 (which is short) that it is ok to be who I am and that the prophetic tones that were spoken over my life as an official put down that they did not come true. I went through a lot and I had to realize that I have been living for other people’s approval (just to survive). I cannot just survive I have to succeed and make the surrounding of my life positive.
Commitment
As a Doctor and Administrator over several Home Healthcare Centers in the US and global worldwide my job is to live and maintain health and the way I will track this over 6 months will be to incorporate healthcare programs at the local 24hr fitness. I will continue to blog and to stay in touch my classmate to see how their progress is going. I will also seek motivation from them and see how I can improve on my wellness. I will continue to meditate and perform yoga (which I learned the benefits here at Kaplan).
