• Great presentation! I do like both of these models, but if I had to choose one I think I would go with the Motorola; the darker shade I think helps on the looks side of things. Cheers.

  • I tried sending photos from my motorola w376g and got the 'message failed' message. Here's what finally worked for me:
    1. Select email address from phonebook
    2. Scroll to and highlight 'Send Message'
    3. Press the button below 'Select'
    4. Press the button below 'Insert'
    5. Scroll down to & highlight 'Attachment' (instead of the tempting picture button)
    6. Press the button below 'Select'
    7. Highlight 'New Attachment'
    8. Press the button below 'Select'
    9. Highlight 'Picture'
    10. Press the button below 'Select'
    11. Highlight 'Additional Storage Device'
    12. Press the button below 'Select'
    13. Scroll to your photo
    14. Press the button below 'Select'
    15. Press 'Back'
    16. Press 'Back' again - (you will now see the paperclip icon on the top of your message
area. The photo has been attached. Enter an optional message.
    17. Hit 'OK' (it will show message details page)

  • Just purchased/activated a W376g on Tracfone four days ago. As I am an aggressive customer (some would say a hard-ass!), I was able to find the answer to a couple of posters' questions very quickly: guest 35228e0; picture transfer into your computer is possible ONLY via email. guest8cd1da2z; It will most likely take a call to the Tracfone 'Customer Care' number to have it actually made web-accessible. Best learn Espanol, comprende? guest be022cc: Tracfone's 'website' is a joke! A SICK joke. In over a year with their 'service' (still WELL ahead of their competitors!) I have found the grand sum total of NOTHING that can be accomplished without talking to one (or MORE) of their thickly accented 'agents'. As Ned Kelley said, 'Such is life.'
As for the Motorola 376? Magnifico!!! I am officially what MOST of you would most likely classify as an OLD FART who shot my ear drums a LONG time ago with 60's rock (think Woodstock) and pistols. LG's rings/quality of sound transmission are VERY lacking to me. I only have to have my ringer set at 4 (out of a possible 6) on the Motorola and I can hear it even over a spirited conversation. Transmission AND reception are excellent. ONLY complaint? Battery life! Sucks!! Will go from a full charge of 6 down to a 4, UNUSED(!) in ONE day. And yeah, I know; but THEY say.... Yeah, I know, but THEY tend to exaggerate/lie. Cure? Charge it for ten minutes each day. GOOD OVERALL PHONE!

Motorola w376g vs LG 600g

  1. 1. Motorola w376g vs. LG 600G Which TracFone is best for YOU?
  2. 2. About the Author

I am the author of a blog dedicated to helping TracFone users get the most out of their phones, for the least money. Common topics include current bonus codes, deals on phones and airtime, and reviews of new phones.

You can check out my blog at:

http://pbush14.wordpress.com

  3. 3. Comparing Bluetooth TracFones

Within the last 6 months, TracFone has released two new Bluetooth-enabled phones - the Motorola w376g, and the LG 600G. If you want to buy your first TracFone, or if you are considering an upgrade to your existing phone, you should consider both of these models. However, each phone has specific advantages, and which phone is best for you depends on how you will use the phone most. I've used both phones and reviewed them extensively on my blog . Here, I am going to lay out the pros and cons of each model for you, in order to make the choice easier. In the following slides, I'll go over the positives about both phones, the advantage that each phone has over the other, and then wrap it up with a summary of which type of users might be inclined to select each phone.

  4. 4. Both Phones:

Include Double Minutes for Life - all future airtime cards you add will be doubled.

Include a camera

Look a lot nicer than any previous TracFone models

Include Bluetooth for connecting with headsets

Do a good job of operating in areas of weak signals

Offer a decent speaker phone if you want to use it.

Include many extras such as calendar/orgranizer, custom ringtones, and (limited) web browser

  5. 5. Advantages of the Motorola w376g:

Sound quality is superior on the Motorola w376g, on both the sent and received audio

Universal accessories - items like a wired headset, spare battery, and car charger will be cheaper and/or easier to find for this model.

Ringtones can be downloaded from TracFone.

FM radio feature (but it works only if you have a headset plugged in)

This phone is currently $20 cheaper than the LG.

For more details on this phone,

including pictures, click here .

  6. 6. Advantages of the LG 600g

Bluetooth is less restricted than on the w376g. Whereas the w376g Bluetooth can be used only for audio, on the LG you can use Bluetooth to transfer pictures, ringtones, and java programs between the phone and your computer or other bluetooth phones.

External display - check the time, or see who's calling, without flipping your phone open.

The predictive text feature, which reduces the amount of time necessary to create a text message, is much easier to use on this phone than on the Motorola.

You can create your own ringtones, or download them from the internet, and transfer them to your phone for free using Bluetooth.

For more details on this phone,

including pictures, click here .

  7. 7. Summary

If you’ll use your phone primarily as a basic phone, and are not concerned with extra games, lots of texting, and taking many pictures, I recommend the Motorola w376g because of its superior sound quality and lower price. For more info on this phone, you can check out:

TracFone's details page here , or

my in-depth review here .

But if you text more than you talk, if you’ll take a lot of pictures and you’ll want to get them off your phone cheaply, or if you want to create your own ringtones then, the LG 600g may be the better choice for you. For more info on this phone, you can check out:

TracFone's details page here , or

my in-depth review here .
