I wish I was a little bit Taller - Presentation Transcript

    1. “Help!... “I Wish I Was A Little Bit Taller, So I Could...” If you filled in the blank after reading the heading above, then it's quite clear your height is bother you. Actually, this really isn't the problem... it's some of the people around you that make you feel inadequate. Are You Stuck Being Short!?! There are MILLONS of people Worldwide who think they are stuck with the height their genes dictate. This simply isn’t true, as there are tons of proven ways to learn how to get taller. So if you say “I Wish I was a little bit taller,” this will become an afterthought as you gain the results and confidence. Firstly, let’s discuss how our bodies work to grow in the first place. Our bones play a very important role in this. For instance... Did you know that infants have many more bones than they do when they’re adults? Perhaps you didn't know but because much of their skeleton consists of cartilage, as they grow, the cartilage gradually fuses and melds then hardens to form adult bones. This is why all of us have considerably less bones than babies do. You see, while in puberty, our cartilage growth plates play a great role in our growth spurts. Throughout puberty, they lengthen gradually. So when we reach adulthood no amount of stretching or exercises will lengthen them again. Any exercise program that claims to be able to do this is wasting your time and money. Unless in extreme cases, some people may resort to bone lengthening surgery to grow taller. Unfortunately, this surgery is very risky for many reasons. Not only is
    2. it difficult to even find a doctor to do this but one that specializes in this area. And the complications that goes on afterward, can make life rather difficult. Surgery involves bones being broken... your bones if choosing this method. For instance, metal plates are installed so that there's a gap between the broken bones. Then gradually the bones grow back together, resulting in increased height. However, the place where the bones grew together often at times is very weak. Therefore, breaks are very common during this process. The negative side to this is you risk nerve damage, paralysis, and even the risk of death when having this surgery. Think goodness, your “I wish I was a little bit taller” dream come true doesn't mean taking risks. Honestly, there are lots of alternative methods out there on how to grow taller. Having a good diet is one of them and exercising can be wildly effective in getting taller and staying taller. When you’re young, it’s extremely important to exercise regularly. Add to that a diet rich in calcium, protein, and amino acids, including other nutrients and your body will have the energy it needs to grow and replenish itself. Failing to do this could result in stunted growth. As a result, if continuing to neglect your body in this manner, this could result in weakened bones and perhaps shrinkage when you become elderly.
