  • 2. The Solar System belongs to a galaxy called The milky Way
  • 3. The Solar System is made up of all the planets, moons, comets, asteroids, minor planets, dust and gas.
  • 4. The planets
  • 5. First MERCURY is small and pink. It is made of rocks. It has no water, air or moon.
  • 6. Second VENUS is small. It is yellow, brown and orange. It is the hottest planet. It has many volcanoes. It has no oxygen or water.
  • 7. Third EARTH is blue and bigger than Venus. It has a lot of water and it has one moon.
  • 8. Forth MARS is red and orange. It's smaller than the Earth. It is called the red planet. It is very cold and it has got two small moons.
  • 9. Fifth JUPITER is big and brown. It is the largest planet. It is made of gas. Jupiter has got 63 moons.
  • 10. Sixth SATURN is yellow, grey and brown. It has got many rings and it has got 62 moons.
  • 11. Seventh URANUS is light blue and smaller than Saturn. It is the coldest planet and it has got 27 moons.
  • 12. Eighth NEPTUNE is dark blue and smaller than Saturn. It is very cold. It has got 13 moons.
  • 13. What else can we find in our galaxy?
  • 14. A STAR is a luminous point in the night sky
  • 15. SATELLITE It is a celestial body which orbits a planet, like our moon. Or It is an artificial object which has been placed into orbit
  • 16. COMET Small rocky body orbiting the Sun.
  • 17. ASTEROID it is a small, frozen mass of dust and gas around the Sun.
