  2. 2. Objectives  Identify feelings the resident & family may have at the time of admission and/or discharge.  Identify nurse aide actions to assist the resident during admission.  Identify nurse aide actions to assist the resident during discharge.

  4. 4. Nurse Aide Actions  Prepare the room for the resident’s needs.  Greet the resident and family.  Show the resident the room, bathroom and how to use      call bell and equipment. Assist the resident in making a list of valuables & clothing – follow agency policy. Observe how well the resident can move and perform activities. Show the resident around the facility. Introduce to staff and other residents. Check on the resident frequently.
