UJ Institutional Repository (IR): UJDigispase ( http://ujdigispace.uj.ac.za:8080/dspace/ ) <ul><li>The IR project started in 2007 </li></ul><ul><li>Parties involved in the development (Library IT, Copyright officer & Rare Book Collection staff ) ‏ </li></ul><ul><li>DSpace software was used </li></ul><ul><li>From 2008 all new Theses & Dissertations (T & D) were uploaded directly into UJDigispace </li></ul><ul><li>UJDigispace officially launched on 24 March 2009 </li></ul><ul><li>By mid-2009, all online T & D from the old system were uploaded/migrated into UJDigispace </li></ul><ul><li>Department of Industrial Psychology & Human Management was used as pilot project. </li></ul><ul><li>Vacant post for IR Manager/Administrator </li></ul><ul><li>During October 2008 & early 2009: IR was introduced to the Library Staff </li></ul><ul><li>Marketing not as such , because of the vacancy </li></ul><ul><li>Future plans: Interest from Engineering Faculty & Botany Department </li></ul>
