  3. 3. Vision / MissionMy mission in life is to not be a role model forrecovering substance abusers like myself haveforfeited such a title. Rather, I would be a SOBERinspiration for my fellow recovering addicts and forothers who are facing the same devils as I am byexceeding the usual plain expectations fromrecovering drug addicts. As I exceed theseexpectations using my God-given skills and talents, Iwill not be content and instead continually achieve tobe better eventually raising the bar set for recoveringaddicts. www.linkedin.com/in/paulvillarin

  13. 13. The TC Philosophy I am here because there is no refuge, finally from myself. Until I confront myself in the eyes and hearts of others, I am running. Until I suffer them to share my secrets, I have no safety from them. Afraid to be known, I can know neither myself nor any other, I will be alone. Where else but in this common ground can I find such a mirror. Here together, I can at last appear clearly to myself. Not as the giant of my dreams. Nor the dwarf of my fears. But as a person, part of a whole with my share in its purpose. In this ground, I can take root and grow. Not alone anymore as in death. But alive to myself and to others.http://www.selfoundation.com www.linkedin.com/in/paulvillarin
  14. 14. TC Unwritten Philosophies HONESTY ACT AS IF FORGIVENESS NO FREE LUNCH COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS TRUST IN YOUR ENVIRONMENT RESPONSIBLE LOVE AND CONCERN WHAT GOES AROUND, COMES AROUND TO UNDERSTAND RATHER THAN BE UNDERSTOOD BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU ASK FOR, YOU MIGHT JUST GET IT YOU ALONE CAN DO IT, BUT YOU CANT DO IT ALONE PERSONAL GROWTH BEFORE VESTED INTEREST YOU CANT KEEP IT UNLESS YOU GIVE IT AWAY TO BE AWARE IS TO BE ALIVE COMPENSATION IS VALID PRIDE IN QUALITY HUMILITYhttp://www.selfoundation.com www.linkedin.com/in/paulvillarin

  16. 16. Reflective MonitoringA. Self-reflection everydayB. Feelings checkC. Stay busy and focusedD. Work diligently and intelligently to achieve professional growthE. Broaden skill setF. Start my own business with 2 yearsG. Earning enough to provide comfortable life to future family www.linkedin.com/in/paulvillarin
  17. 17. Championing Sobriety In remaining sober for the past seven years, I know I would have already exceeded the expectations of some people who have known me before. Recovering addicts have little expectations enough to say that staying sober alone is already a tall order. I find this insulting and I believe that in order to truly champion sobriety I should exceed expectations and become a true achiever. I would achieve if I continually better what good I have already accomplished. In doing so, I would inspire and would help in raising the bar for recovering addicts. Recovering addicts are intelligent and talented and we deserve to be asked for more. www.linkedin.com/in/paulvillarin
