    8. Which companies can benefit?
      • Fast growing SME’s who need software to manage systems and processes as they grow
      • Businesses with large amounts of paperwork and spreadsheets
      • Businesses where their staff spend considerable time doing repetitive tasks
      • Businesses who have used the same internal systems for over 10 years
      • Businesses with staff or engineers on-the-road or home-workers who need access to business or client information
      • Businesses not looking for software which is all-singing and all-dancing – instead it does just what they need it do to improve their efficiency and staff productivity
    9. Typical challenges a manufacturer may have
      • Family run manufacturing business who have used the same systems and processes for the last 10-15 years
      • Processes including job cards are predominantly paper-based
      • Stock control is heavily reliant on individuals
      • When production increases there is a strain on the business due to the over-reliance of manual input
      • A few spreadsheets are used along with accounting software, but the rest of businesses critical data is paper-based
      • If a key employee was ill or off work there is significant intelligence that is lost with most data not being IT based

    24. Company
      • Family run manufacturer
      • Approx. 40 staff
      • Paper based systems
      • £1.5 – 2m t/o
    25. Challenges Their paper based system has worked for 15 years – how can it be replicated exactly ? Their key staff have worked their for over 10 years and are resistant to change They have heard experiences from bigger manufacturers who had difficulty implementing enterprise resource planning systems When sales volume increase their manually driven processes almost fall over A job can be processed through their factory before the paperwork has reached their office Finding order information and job cards means searching through lots of paperwork
    26. Winning Hearts and Minds - before “ there isn’t a system in the world that can be tailored to our exact processes” “ we shouldn’t be wasting our money on expensive, fancy systems” “ why can’t we stick with our current systems – we’ve used them for the last 15 years”

    34. The results 86% Average reduction in time spent on order entry 75% Quicker to find order information when responding to customer queries 50% More time for key shop floor operatives to focus on primary tasks PLUS Dramatic improvement of handling non-conformances Significant improvement to handling customer returns
