    • In the next few slides we will tell you about the few planets we visited
  • 3. Mercury
    • Mercury is the closest to the sun and is very very hot.
    • Scientists think that there may be *volcanic activity* on Mercury.
    • The temperature on Mercury ranges from 90K to 700K.
    • In Roman mythology Mercury is the god of commerce, travel and thievery. Mercury is also known as Hermes, the messenger of the Gods, in Greek mythology. The planet probably received this name because it moves so quickly across the sky.
  • 4. Mars
    • Mars is the god of War. In Greek mythology, he is known as Ares. The planet probably got this name due to its red color; Mars is sometimes referred to as the "Red Planet." The name of the month March derives from Mars.
    • Mars has permanent ice (dry ice) on the two poles
  • 5. Saturn
    • Saturn is a giant gas planet
    • Saturn has rings
    • In Roman mythology, Saturn is the god of agriculture. He is known as Cronus in Greek mythology. Cronus was the father of Zeus(Jupiter). Saturn is the root of the English word "Saturday."
    • Saturn has 18 moons
    • Saturn is 75% hydrogen and 25% helium.

    • Phobos may someday be useful as "space stations" from which to study Mars or as intermediate stops to and from the Martian surface; especially if the presence of ice is confirmed.
    • "phobos" is Greek for "fear"

    • This is why we couldn’t live on Mercury

    • It will take our spaceship 6 hours to get to mercury and 7 hrs to get to mars from mercury and 2 hrs to get to the moon of mars called phobos and 8 hrs to get to Saturn.
    • The terrain on our planet is very rocky in some parts but flat in other parts . The surface of our planet is solid and we can build houses and buildings on it. The surface of our planet is made of pink grass and blue water.

    • We will need oxygen and water to live on our planet and plants and shelter and animals we will not take mosquitoes though because they are annoying and we do not want mosquito bites.
    • There will also be fish on our planet. They will be called foogu fish.

    • Our planet name is skworm as the majority of people on the earth voted for it.
    • Our planet is found in the universe of Alpha Centuri
  • 15. What might humans require to establish a colony on one of these planets? Food, water, oxygen, plants, shelter and amenities. What will the sun look like from your colony? there will be a new sun How will you block out any harmful radiation from the Sun? advanced houses will protect us by a new advanced shield. What is the exterior (outside of your colony) atmosphere and weather like in the place you will put your colony? There is gravity and oxygen there is also bits of plants and animals life. The atmosphere is warm and calm. It will rain like it does on earth.

    • What protection from these elements do you need?
    • we will just were normal clothes as we will be protected
    • by an invisible shield.
    • If your colony is in orbit, will it run into anything (eg space rock/debri).
    • Careful calculations have been done to insure that this could not happen.
    • How will you dispose of garbage and waste
    • materials?
    • Reduce, reuse, recycle and send the rest into orbit.
    • What kinds of pollution or health hazards will your colony produce? Sewerage waste, carbon-dioxide and general deceases.
    • How will you deal with them?
    • Medical advancement by special doctors will protect us from viruses and other heath conditions.
