  • Good afternoon everyone, My name is Guillaume Bard (not Gui-Lume, not Guy-Home or Gui-Lomee), I've been with Ross for 6 years now. Let me tell you that we are happy to be with you today! So… you are all in the hair restoration business? Right? Well, we are in the prevention business. So, today, I am going to talk about prevention. Please bear with me because I know I put accent on the wrong syllable some times. How many of you are already using Ross products? Welcome, we have some new information for you today. I am sure you’re all wondering how your business will grow with Ross. And, that is exactly what I am going to tell you today! First of all, we define prevention as a way to avoid a problem that can happen. When we consider that about 35 million men and 21 million women in the United States alone have hair loss problems, that is what I call a HUGE market. To let you understand exactly what hair hygiene is about, let’s take an analogy, let’s talk about the dentist! There was a time where the only remedy for a bad toothache was extraction. Today, dental fillings, daily hygiene and regular visits to your dentist are what you must do, to avoid spending money on removing and replacing teeth in bad condition. When we are talking about hair, there are no differences. Prevention methods exists. Hair hygiene specialists are there to provide solutions to those who preffer to prevent their hair from falling out.
  • Just as with our teeth, if our hair is gone, we can replace it by using prosthetics or transplants, but these are not always the ONLY solution. If we want to keep our teeth, we go to the dentist on a regular basis to prevent eventual problems. That is exactly the same thing with hair hygienists. Prevention is a personal choice, but it is also an intelligent choice. And, by our own experience, I can tell you that it is a choice that a LOT of people will make. If we think about it, prevention means that every one who has hair is a potential client.
  • It’s a fact, people prefer to keep their own hair… Anyway, why replace something if it is in good condition? Shouldn’t you offer more than only last resort solutions?  Would you wait until all your teeth fell out and then replace them? Wouldn’t you prefer to have your own teeth repaired?
  • Now, let’s talk about hair loss prevention.
  • So, we are going to talk about hair growth cycle first. Normal hair would have about 85% of hair in the Anagen phase and about 15% in the telogen phase. It is in the anagen phase that hair is growing. Basicly, it means that we need to have 85% of our hair that is groing against 15% of hair that is falling and then be replaced by new ones. Problems, arise when you have less than 80% of hair in the anagen phase.
  • Main causes of hair loss are androgens and microcirculation and YOU probably already know that. AN drogens has to do with hormones. An inbalance in the hormones causes the hair follicle to die, leading to fall-out and reduced regrowth. Of course, good blood irrigation of the hair root is necessary for growth because, Oxygen and nutrients arrive through the blood.
  • There are many other causes for hair loss. What is interesting with the Ross prevention method, is that it will help preserve hair and scalp in good condition regarldess of the origin of the hair loss. Even with thyroid gland problems or chemotherapy, Ross will help.
  • Now let’s look at the DHT a little more in details. The male hormone DHT plays a critical role. Hair follicles at the top, front and temples are particularly sensitive to DHT. DHT shortens the hair growth cycle causing hair follicles to decrease in size and eventually leading to hair loss.
  • Now, let’s look at microcirculation. What is important in blood circulation is the quantity and quality of the blood reaching the hair root. If your hair root does not get a good supply of blood, lymph, oxygen and nutrients, it will shrink and die. Excess stress causes muscles to tighten and reduces blood flow to the extremities. Capillaries become constricted and feed your hair follicles and hair roots less blood.
  • Now, getting back to the dentist. We know that dentist X-Rays teeth. Well, the hair hygienist uses the microviewer to analyse the hair bulb. If the hair bulbs are in good condition, we have products to keep them that way. If they are in poor condition, we have solutions to remedy the situation. The hair bulb analysis allows us to evaluate the patient’s condition. Whether bulbs are in good or poor condition there will be solutions available but those solutions will be different depending on the results we will get. This evaluation will also give us some good indications about the possible results we will get with the treatments. Remember that Prevention = Preservation
  • Now, to improve the blood flow, we have hand massage and vasodilator. To improve the quality of the blood, we use products that are rich in essential nutrients such as: Vitamins Proteins and Lipids
  • We have solutions for every problem. First of all, we offer a complete program. Then, we also address specific problems. And finally, we also have kits or three-pack.
  • Here is how our complete program works We start with a hair bulb analysis to get the status of the hair loss, the length of the treatment and the right products to use. After that we will obtain a clinical treatment schedule that will tell you what is going to be done at the clinic. Then, we will get the another schedule of treatments to be done at home. After a few treatments, we perform a checkup examination to compare the results with the first exam and see if there are improvements.
  • Ross gives you the opportunity to add prevention to your existing business, That will create more customer loyalty and, That will also, widen your customer base. This is an advantage that you can offer to your clients that your competitor doesn’t have

  • The beneficial effects of pyridoxine (vitamin B6) were discovered in France while researchers were working on acne. Vitamin B6 is soluble in water and exists in three components, pyridoxine, pyridoxal and pyridoxamine. While the body is unable to store Vitamin B6, a normal healthy diet including avocado, eggs, soy, green vegetables and pork, poultry or fish meets the requirements. Despite this fact, heat and processing can destroy Vitamin B6, and according to U.S. researchers, large sectors of society are deficient in Vitamin B6. Hair loss can be one of the symptoms of this type of deficiency. All the B vitamins are particularly powerful in counteracting the effects of the sebaceous glands and subsequent build-up. In addition, the B vitamins also contain panthenol that aids growth, biotin, a folic acid, and amino acids that act positively on cellular respiration.
