What is benefits realisation?
A benefit as “ a measurable improvement resulting from an outcome ”.
Benefits realisation – “ the delivery of high-level outcomes and requires a constant focus on intended benefits to ensure that the desired changes are achieved ”
In the Institutional Innovations Programme - “ the validation and transfer to non-native institutional contexts, and building upon outputs developed by innovation projects in order to embed them in their intended (and other) communities ”

Benefits Realisation Plan

key stakeholders and national bodies across the sector;
institutions external to the programme (non-natives);
Project led – up to £15k
Theme/Cluster led – up to £50k
Iterative invitations for start dates Sept 09, April 10, Sept 10

Benefits Realisation Plan
Stage two (project fed)
Feeding project outcomes (to realise benefits) into wide scale programmes of adoption/take-up by non-native institutions and stakeholder communities ;
Focus on “institutional innovations” that can support wide scale adoption.
Target start date by April 10, but will be looking for potential “large impacts” “Advanced” projects/themes or Stage one BR projects that could potentially form early programmes.
Emerging methodology based on what has worked in the past.
