He tells you to do things the things that He knows are gonna work out to your good in the end.” “You can not live your life just based on what everyone else thinks.” “Have God make a message out of your mess.” “I may not be where I need to be but I thank God I am not where I used to be.” “Happiness is not a feeling, it is a choice. To be happy, one must choose to be happy, not respond to a circumstance that now controls your happiness.” “One mistake does not have to rule a person's entire life.” “Strive for excellence, not perfection, because we don't live in a perfect world.” “Stop being tomented by everyone else's reaction to you.” “We need a backbone, not a wishbone.”
  • “Just because you go to church doesn't mean you're a Christian. I can go sit in the garage all day and it doesn't make me a car” “80% of people's problems are about how they feel about themselves.” “Complain and remain. Praise and be raised.” “It is not about reading the Word. It is about obeying the Word.” “It is not as important how we start (our past), but how we finish.” “Don't just learn from God's Word, but believe it will change your life.” “Spending time with God is the key to our strength and success in all areas of life. Be sure that you never try to work God into your schedule, but always work your schedule around Him.” “Try a thing you haven't done three times. Once to get over the fear of doing it. Twice to learn how to do it. And a third time to figure out whether you like it or not.” “An affirmation to say everyday: The healing power of God is working in me right now. Every day I get better and better in every way.” “Don't let your feelings be a God to you.” “Focus on giving smiles away and you will always discover that your own smiles will always be in great supply!” “you have to realize that you don't have someone else's life and your never going to. You better start loving the one you got. Embrace the life you have and stop wishing that you could be someone else. Just stop all that and start saying "God here I am. Do what you want to do with me".” “My purpose in life is to do right and to glorify God.” “Wisdom is doing now what you are going to be happy with later on”
  • “Is there any real purpose in being alive if all we are going to do is get up every day and live only for ourselves? Live your life to help others. Give & live selflessly.” “If you are accused of being a Christian, there should be enough evidence to convict you.” It is not about doing what we feel like. It is about doing what God says.” “Excellence - Take what you have and do the BEST with it.” “Everytime you feed the flesh, you strenghten it. This is good if you are trying to build a good habit, but detrimental if you are trying to stop a bad habit. The way to "kill the flesh" is to starve it; to stop feeding it.” “There are no drive-thru breakthroughs. Breakthroughs take time.” “Don’t run to the phone, run to the throne.” “You can be pitiful, or you can be powerful, but you can't be both” “Start believing the Word of God over our feelings. When we say no to the flesh, we say no to the devil.” “Where there is a rotten root, there will always be rotten fruit. We must be rooted in Jesus Christ.” “We don't want to survive. We want to be healed.” “Do yourself a favor and forgive anyone that has anything against you. Do it as an act of faith and trust God to change and heal your emotions. Pray for your enemies and never say another unkind thing about them. It is the only way you can move past the pain and begin to heal.” “I don't just pray for God to open doors, I also pray for God to close doors “Our past may explain why we're suffering but we must not use it as an excuse to stay in bondage.” “There is something you can do that no one else can do just like you so love your life!” “Why wouldn’t we run to God. He’s sooo good. God’s not mad at anybody. He just wants to help us be the best that we can be.”
  • “Do what you don’t want to do to get what you want to get.” “Average is very acceptable in our society but I don't think the angels are applauding. If you are determined to be excellent, to not back out of it, you will reap a harvest in your life.” “You cannot have a positive life and a negative mind.” “God wants you to be delivered from what you have done and from what has been done to you - Both are equally imporant to Him.” “Faithfulness is not doing something right once but doing something right over and over and over and over.” “Brother and Sister So & So are not your standard; Jesus is.” “Trust and faith bring joy to life and help relationships grow to their maximum potential.” “Mercy is the stuff you give to people that don't deserve it.” “Come to me all who are weary and heavy burden.." In God's economy, we believe first and then see.” Here’s one of my favorite statements: We are never going to enjoy stability, we are never going to enjoy spiritual maturity until we learn how to do what’s right when it feels wrong, and every time you do what’s right by a decision of your will using discipline and self control to go beyond how you feel, the more painful it is in your flesh, the more you’re growing spiritually at that particular moment.” “You would be better off having nobody than the wrong somebody. (On marrying for the wrong reasons.)” “If you're fighting moodiness and depression you don't want to hang around a bunch of other moody and depressed people.” “Today Lord I am going to do my best with Your help and for Your glory. I realize that there are many different people in the world with a variety of opinions and expectations. I will concentrate on being a God-pleaser and not a self-pleaser or man-
  • pleaser. The rest I leave in Your hands lord. Grant me favor with You and with men and continue transforming me into the image of Your dear Son. Thank You Lord.” “We don’t need self-confidence we need God-confidence” “There are two kinds of pain: the pain of change and the pain of never changing and remaining the same.” “Unity increases power.” “God's love for me is perfect because it's based on Him not on me. So even when I failed He kept loving me.” “I tell you what when I see chocolate chip cookies I can’t just eat one. I’ve got to eat a dozen. I don’t have any self control. Well, come on! You’re just talking yourself right into the pit! You do have self control, and you need to start looking at those cookies and saying, “If I want you I’ll eat you, and if I don’t I won’t!” Come on! Talk to that plateful of food! I am born again and baptized in the Holy Ghost! I have the power of the universe on the inside of me, and if I do not want to eat you I will not eat you! I mean how do you expect to defeat the devil if you can’t even defeat a chocolate chip cookie!?!?” “The absence of pain means death, so when something no longer bothers you, you've died to that thing.” “Maybe you don't just have one Goliath. Maybe you have his whole family!” “1 Peter 5 - Be well balanced because Satan 'roams about like a hungry lion seeking who he can devour.” “You can have Jesus in your spirit and have an outrageous mess in your soul, and if you don't know what that's called, it's called religion.” “Some people think they have discernment when actually they are just suspicious.. Suspicion comes out of the unrenewed mind; discernment comes out of the renewed spirit.” “Where the mind goes the man follows.” “Where there is a rotten root, there will always be rotten fruit.” “You can control yourself if you really want to. I'll tell you how I know you can control yourself. If you were in a full fledged emotional temper tantrum in your house and I knocked on your front door..... Come on! Let me tell you what, you would get control of yourself, and it would only take a few seconds.” “Grace is the power of the Holy Spirit coming to us free of charge to enable you to do with ease what you could never do on your own with any amount of struggle and effort.”
  • “God knows the mess we’re in when He calls us. His light shines greater through “cracked pots” than it does through those who have it all together.” “You can enjoy anything if you make up your mind to.” Patience is a fruit of the spirit that grows only under trial. It is useless to pray for patience. Well, actually I encourage you to pray for patience, but I'll tell you what you'll get TRIALS!” “Go home, and let all your relatives off the potter's wheel. You are not the potter!” “The thing about secrets is they keep you in a prison. Once you share, WHOOSH, there is a release.” “God is Good...Jesus is Lord Be Good to Yourself and each Other J-Jesus..O-Others..Y-Yourself” “Compromise means to go just a little bit below what you know is right. It's just a little bit, but it's the little foxes that spoil the vine.” “No matter what you’re going through there's no pit so deep that God can’t reach in and get you out.” “Don't reason in the mind just obey in the spirit.” “All God wants us to do is do what he asks us to do.” “The devil will give up when he sees that you are not going to give in.” If you are a believer married to an unbeliever I want to tell you that the greatest witness that you can be to them is to try to be the same all the time. Don't let the way they act control you. Dave didn't let my actions control him. He stayed happy, and that just made me madder, because unhappy people just want to make other people unhappy, but it finally broke through to me that he's got a stability and a joy and a peace that I did not have.” “I never will forget this. I went and threw myself across my daughter’s bed, and I cried and I cried and I cried and I cried, because I felt like that I had been so faithful and that there was no financial breakthrough for us. You ever have one of those days where you are tired of hearing everybody else’s testimony? But, I made a decision that day, and I think we all have to come to this point in many different areas of our life. And, as I lay across that bed and cried, when I finally got done crying I said this out loud, it was like my declaration, “God, I am going to tithe and give offerings until the day I die whether I ever see anything from it or not!” And, you know what, from that day forward we began to prosper and increase. And, I believe with all of my heart that was a test for me.” “Were all important in God's eyes.” “Do you feel disappointed because something you planned didn’t work out If so you
  • can get re-appointed today. In God there are never any dead-ends only detours. Don’t ever give up. Just keep trying until you succeed.” “Wow! you might actually have to act like a Christian sometimes!” “Encourage everyone you meet with a smile or compliment. Make them feel better when you leave their presence and they will always be glad to see you coming.” “God plants dreams in people's hearts. But many people do not continue all the way to the end in order to follow Him to the fulfillment of that dream. Many get started and quit get started and quit get started and quit. They do not continue because their broken heart overwhelms their hope. They do not have any inner strength to carry them through to the end. Jesus will bind up your wounds and heal your bruises. His Word is the medicine for your soul.” “Acts 10:38 says, “See how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth who went about doing good.” He just got up every day and did good. Everywhere he went, even though he had a purpose and he was headed somewhere, he let himself be interrupted by the needs of people. So often we study the steps of Jesus. Maybe we need to study the stops of Jesus. The things that he stopped for, the things that interrupted his plan, where he would alter his plan and help somebody here and there.” “I know that if I said today, "How many of you would like to have me pray for you to have self control?" I could stay here and pray for people to have self control until midnight tonight. How many of you would stay if I would just lay hands on you and pray for you to have self control? Well, you know what, it would be a waste of time! Because, you are not going to have self control because somebody prays for you to have self control. You aready have self control. It is in you as a fruit of the spirit, but it's a little teeny tiny little seed. And, nobody else can develop your fruit of the spirit. Nobody can develop your peace but you. Nobody can develop your joy but you. Nobody can develop your patience butyou. Nobody can develop your discipline and self control but you.” “We must meditate on what God has done in our life instead of what we are still waiting on Him to do.” “If you can believe the God who is perfect loves you then you can believe that you are worth loving.” “Don’t waste another day of your life grieving over something that you cannot do anything about. Let God give you a new beginning. Your mistakes are not enough to stop God if you don’t let them.” “It is amazing the quality of human beings that are in this world if we can just get past people not dressing the way we want them to dress.” “Our world has created a false unrealistic image of what women are supposed to look like and act like. But the truth is that every woman was not created by God to be skinny, with a flawless complexion and long flowing hair. Not every woman was
  • intended to juggle a career as well as all of the other duties of being a wife, mother, citizen, and daughter. Single women should not be made to feel they are missing somenthing because they are not married. Married women should not be made to feel they must have a career to be complete. We must have the freedom to be our individual selves.” “If I have to build a big company by mistreating other people then the Bible says WOE to me. I don't know what that is, but I don't want any of it.” “No matter how much we know in any area there are always new things to learn and things we have previously learned that we need to be refreshed in.” “Fear tries to get us to give up but faith takes us all the way through to victory” “There are times when God leaves huge question marks as tools in our lives to stretch our our faith.” “The way anything is developed is through practice practice practice practice practice practice practice practice practice and more practice.” “Treat everyone you meet as if they have infinite value because in God’s eyes they do” “Just because you feel fear doesn't mean you can't do it. Do it afraid” “The Holy Spirit showed me that when I put up walls to keep others out I also wall myself into solitary place of confinement.” “Justified means just as if you've never sinned.” “When you pray be sure that you listen as well as talk. You have things you want to say to God but He also has things He wants to say to you.” “I believe confidence is all about being positive concerning what you can do -- and not worrying over what you can't do. A confident person is open to learning, because she knows that her confidence allows her to walk through life's doorways, eager to discover what waits on the other side. She knows that every new unknown is a chance to learn more about herself and unleash her abilities.” “(On being in a position of leadership) Even if it's your dog, you've got authority over somebody. Start treating him better.” Worry is a down payment on a problem you may never have” “God does not always call us to go back physically to a place we have been. But if for example we have a difficult time submitting to a boss with a certain personality God may call us to continue working with someone who has the same personality until we master the situation in a godly way. God does not want us to be on the run He wants us to confront our fears and frustrations in order to find peace in Him.”
  • “Nobody has a perfect life and it's entirely possible that if you want someone else's life they are busy wanting someone else's too–maybe even yours.” “Satan frequently steals the will of God from us due to reasoning. The Lord may direct us to do a certain thing, but if it does not make sense - if it is not logical - we may be tempted to disregard it. What God leads a person to do does not always make logical sense to his mind. His spirit may affirm it and His mind reject it, especially if it would be out of the ordinary or unpleasant or if it would require personal sacrifice or discomfort.” “You have the fruit of the spirit in you, because when Christ comes in you everything he is and has comes with him as a seed as a seed as a seed as a seed. If we can ever understand this we can finally get over being confused about what the Bible says we have compared to our experience. Everything the Bible says we have we have it. As believers in Christ it is in us, but it comes as a SEED! The Bible actually calls Christ THE Seed. Capital "S". So, I like to put it like this: When Christ first comes into your life the seed of everything God is comes into your spirit. The Bible says that the image of Christ is captured in us and that we are destined, you have a destiny, a destiny to be molded into his image of Jesus Christ. Your destiny and my destiny is to get out into the world and act like Jesus.” “I was afraid to let other make any decisions, because I had no confidence they would be concerned for me.” “Sometimes new opportunity means new opposition. Not everything God asks us to do will be comfortable.” “It is not that we don't have faith it is just that Satan is trying to destroy our faith with lies.” If you make a choice in this conference and you stick to it to be an excellent person in everything you do and you stick to it especially to be excellent when nobody is looking and do it not to get a result but to glorify God you’re going to have peace and joy and you’re going to have results. My concern is that if we just do something to get results then we’re not likely to follow things all the way through to the finish, because we get very discouraged, and I think that’s one of the reasons we have such discouragement among people. “Well, I’m doing this, and I expected to get a breakthrough before now.” ….. Well, I think God has to purify our hearts and get us to the point where we are not just doing something right just to get something!” “You can have Jesus in your spirit and an outrgeous mess in your soul, and if you don't know what that's called it's called religion. That's what it's called dead dry religion......Jesus said you are a bunch of white washed tombs full of dead men's bones, and I tell you if that didn't describe me I don't know what did, because on Sunday mornings I dressed it up and took it to church.” “If you are facing a new challenge or being asked to do something that you have never done before don’t be afraid to step out. You have more capability than you
  • think you do but you will never see it unless you place a demand on yourself for more.” “I always asked for forgiveness for my sins right away but I never accepted it until I felt right that I had suffered enough to pay for it. God revealed to me what I was doing how much unnecessary pain I was causing myself. He even showed me that what I was doing was an insult to Jesus that in essence I was saying Lord the sacrifice of Your life and blood was good but not good enough. I must add my work of feeling guilty before I can be forgiven.” “Better to have a big goal and reach half of it than to have no goal and reach all of it.” “If you are facing a difficult task don’t put it off. If you do it will just keep tormenting you.” “I learned that what happened to me did not have to define who I was. My past could not control my future unless I allowed it to.” “When we face our fears, we can find our freedom.” “God is the Champion at bringing people from a place of destruction to a place of total victory. As they reach that place of victory they become trophies of his grace. and they are set on the display as a fragrant reminder of God's goodness.” “When we are overly concerned with what people think we will be controlled by the thoughts and opinions of other people.” “Being negative only makes a difficult journey more difficult. You may be given a cactus, but you don't have to sit on it.” “If you look at your circumstances you will put off doing what God is telling you to do. It can seem like the worst time to do whatever God says to do. BUT there is an anointing on "now" if God has told you to act.” “Sometime we get so addicted to murmuring about the past and blaming the past for everything that we miss our whole future. You're not going to enjoy your future, and you're not going to enjoy your right now, if all you can do is be guilty and ashamed and afraid of your past.” “The sooner we learn feelings are fickle, the better off we are.” “Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way. We feel as though we are worthless. But no matter what has happened or what will happen, we will never lose our value in God’s eyes.” “If you want to give the devil a nervous breakdown, just get up every day and see how much good you can do.” “Our feelings are unreliable and cannot be trusted to convey truth.”
  • “Today is a brand new beginning for me!” “Many people say “my life stinks”. Well, your life will stink if you spend today thinking about tomorrow.” I may not be where I need to be but at least I am not where I used to be.” Are you living up to your potential? God made you with potential - potential for greatness! If you do what you can do, and trust Him to do what you can't, you will grow into the person He gave you the potential to be!” “The three most harmful negative emotions are anger, guilt, and fear. And anger is number one. It is also the strongest and most dangerous of all passions.” “Gaining a victory is more difficult than maintaining it once you have it.” “We can get excited by thinking about what all we have or can have, OR we can get discouraged by thinking about what all we don't have.” “If you accept what people call you, you will start to believe it. Find your identity in Christ, not in what others say.” "Forgive freely." "God is always just." "Trusting God brings life." "Love is the energy of life." "Anger is the fruit of rotten roots." "God’s love is unconditional." "People are born to be free; it’s a gift from God." "Keep walking the walk one step at a time." "Love gives life purpose and meaning." "Giving in to fear alters God's best plan for your life." "We must guard against allowing anger to drag us into sin. "If you're missing joy and peace, you're not trusting God." "In other words, God is good, and He cannot be anything else." "I am radically, insanely, nutty in love with Jesus! He has set me free!" "Positive minds full of faith and hope produce positive lives." "Sometimes trials come simply to test and purify our faith."
  • "Facing temptations will either bring out the best or worst in us." "Once we know the Word of God, we have a responsibility to be obedient to it." "Sometimes God allows us to be tested because He's preparing us for promotion." "Nobody can be set free from a problem until they’re willing to admit they have one." "Our past experiences may have made us the way we are, but we don’t have to stay that way." "negative minds full of fear and doubt produce negative lives, which can ultimately destroy your life." "God wants us to be totally dependent on Him, and suffering seems to bring us to that point." "Many times Christians face trials and suffering simply because we live in a world full of sin." "Also, forgive yourself for past sins and hurts you have caused others. You can’t pay people back, so ask God to." "Every day can be exciting if we see ourselves as God’s secret agents, waiting to sprinkle a little salt on all the lives we encounter." "Forgive God if you are angry with Him because your life didn’t turn out the way you thought it should." "When Satan makes you angry, remember that he's trying to keep you from accomplishing the will of God in your life." "Everything we do is to be offered to the Lord; and if done so with a pure heart of love, it becomes holy." "When you forgive, you must cancel the debt. Do not spend your life paying and collecting debts." "If we didn’t have to stand against temptation, we’d never know our own spiritual strength." "Many Christians suffer because they're too busy seeking carnal knowledge instead of the Word of God." "I had this little recording playing in my head for years and years and years, what's wrong with me, what's wrong with me, what's wrong with me?" "If you want to be free, just start doing what God wants you to do, one step at a time, and you’ll eventually walk out of your messes." "The only way to repay the devil for hurt and devastation in our personal lives is to aggressively and vehemently do the works of Jesus."
  • "God gives us hopes and dreams for certain things to happen in our lives, but He doesn't always allow us to see the exact timing of His plan." "People are born to be free; it’s a gift from God. We’re not to be free from responsibility, but free to be led by the Holy Spirit." "Unforgiveness is spiritual filthiness, so get washed in the water of God’s Word to forgive and stay clean." Actually, you’re helping yourself more than the other person." "Too often we think of being tempted as being enticed to do big things like stealing, murdering or committing adultery. But most often we’re tempted to be impatient, stingy, jealous, greedy or any number of other things that we consider lesser sins." "Remember, regaining your mind is a process. We all fail at one time or another. God knows our weaknesses; that’s why He gave us 1 John 1:9. Just ask for forgiveness and envision the blood of Jesus washing away your sin." "Giving in to fear alters God's best plan for your life. So use the power of God's Word to do what He wants you to do...even if you have to do it afraid! The rewards are great." "Many people ruin their health and their lives by taking the poison of bitterness, resentment and unforgiveness. Matthew 18:23-35 tells us that if we do not forgive people, we get turned over to the torturers." "Even though our problems may have been brought upon us because of something done against our will, we have no excuse for allowing the problem to persist, grow and even take control over our entire life." "Everywhere you look you see people searching for love…but they’re looking in the wrong places. God is love, and they will never find what they’re looking for until they find Him." "God sometimes allows us to feel anger so we’ll recognize when we’re being mistreated. But even when we experience true injustices in our lives, we must not vent our anger in an improper way." "Your soul is your mind, your will and your emotions. When the Word gets rooted in there and begins to change your mind, it begins to heal your emotions and turn your will away from self-will and onto doing the will of God."
  • "All I know is this works. It's not only worked for me, but I've seen it work for literally thousands and thousands of people. I have seen the transformation on people's faces when they receive Christ. I've seen the glory come on them, the light." "God is with you, and He’ll help you make spiritual progress—strengthening and encouraging you to keep on keeping on during rough times. It's easy to quit, but it takes faith to press on to victory." "I also think it’s hard to hate one person but love another. It’s hard to treat anybody right when our heart isn’t right. Even people you want to love may be suffering from your bitterness, resentment and unforgiveness." "If you want to have sustained joy, you have to not only make sure that you think right, but you also have to make decisions now that are going to guarantee some joy in the future. One of the key things for people as far as joy is concerned is not living a selfish, self-centered lifestyle where we live our lives expecting everybody else to do something for us." "If you want the great and mighty things God has for you, you must get to the root of anger and deal with it. Get rid of the masks and face the things that happened in your life that made you the way you are today. Admit that you can't change by yourself. Until the root is removed, it’ll continue to produce one bad fruit after another." "If I invited you to take a walk, you’d think I was crazy if I became angry after the first few steps because we hadn’t yet arrived at our destination. We can understand ordinary things like this, yet we have a difficult time understanding that God expects it to take some time for us to grow spiritually." "Let's face it: None of us are ever going to get to the place in life where we have no more disappointments. We can't expect to be sheltered from every little thing. Disappointment is a fact of life—one that must be dealt with." "What do you do when disappointment comes? When it weighs on you like a rock, you can either let it press you down until you become discouraged, even devastated, or you can use it as a stepping-stone to better things." "Everyone knows how to smile. It's one of the greatest gifts God has given us. A smile makes people feel good, and people look so beautiful when they smile. When the joy in your life is obvious, it rubs off on others. But when you keep God's joy locked inside you and don't allow it to show on your face, you're depriving those around you of a pleasant and refreshing experience." "We don’t think there’s something wrong with one-year-old children because they can’t walk perfectly. They fall down frequently, but we pick them up, love them, bandage them if necessary, and keep working with them. Surely our heavenly Father can do even more for us than we do for our children." "Learning to change our thinking works the same way. There will be days when we don't do everything right—days when our thinking is negative. But never stop trying.
  • God is gradually bringing us around to His way of thinking. Just don't give up!" "Forgive God if you are angry with Him because your life didn’t turn out the way you thought it should. God is always just. There may be things you don’t understand, but God loves you, and people make a serious mistake when they don’t receive help from the only One who can truly help them." "You may even need to forgive a situation or an object—the post office, bank, a certain store that may have cheated you, a car that always gave you trouble, etc. Get rid of all poison that comes from bitterness, resentment and unforgiveness." "Who are you helping most when you forgive the person who hurt you? Actually, you’re helping yourself more than the other person. I always looked at forgiving people who hurt me as being really hard. I thought it seemed so unfair for them to receive forgiveness when I had gotten hurt. I got pain, and they got freedom without having to pay for the pain they caused. Now I realize that I’m helping myself when I choose to forgive." "Being angry with God is quite common. People frequently ask, "If God is good, allpowerful, and full of love for us, why didn't He stop the thing that caused the pain?" This is where Satan seeks to build a wall between God and the hurting person. He seizes the opportunity to say, "God isn’t good, and He can’t be trusted." However, we know according to the Word of God, the truth is not in Satan—he is a liar and the father of lies." "Is all anger sin? No, but some of it is. Even God Himself has righteous anger against sin, injustice, rebellion and pettiness. Anger sometimes serves a useful purpose, so it isn't necessarily always a sin. Obviously, we’re going to have adverse feelings, or God wouldn’t have needed to provide the fruit of self-control. Just being tempted to do something is not sin. It's when you don't resist the temptation, but do it anyway, that it becomes sin." "Battles are fought in our minds every day. When we begin to feel the battle is just too difficult and want to give up, we must choose to resist negative thoughts and be determined to rise above our problems. We must decide that we’re not going to quit. When we’re bombarded with doubts and fears, we must take a stand and say: "I’ll never give up! God’s on my side. He loves me, and He’s helping me! I’m going to make it!" "Everybody has to deal with anger from time to time. But what’s the best way to handle it? To answer that question, we must first understand what anger really is. Anger is an emotion often characterized by feelings of great displeasure, indignation, hostility, wrath and vengeance. Many times, reacting in anger is how we express our dissatisfaction with life. It’s defined in the Greek language as the strongest of all passions. Anger begins with a feeling that’s often expressed in words or actions. We feel something and it causes a reaction." "Often we feel divided within ourselves, struggling to get finished with common life
  • and everyday business so we can return to holy things because we feel that we are holier, or more right with God, when we are doing what we believe to be holy things. I believe this is one of the greatest deceptions of Satan. It keeps most people in a state of turmoil, dreading, and even despising, the tasks of common life and everyday business. All of us must do them; it’s part of life. They can’t be avoided. So we must have understanding about how, in reality, there’s no difference between common and holy, except in our minds. If we’ll read the Bible properly and not be so religious in our thinking, we’ll move into an area of freedom that will shake the gates of hell. Satan does not want you to enjoy your life." "Instead of concentrating on your problems and getting discouraged, focus on God and meditate on His promises for you. You may have fallen down, but you don't have to stay down. God is ready, willing and able to pick you up." "God loves us because He wants to—it pleases Him. God loves us because it’s His nature to love, and He will always love us. He doesn’t always love everything we do, but He does love us. God’s love is unconditional. In fact, there’s nothing we can do to ever escape His love. God’s love is the power that forgives our sins, heals our emotional wounds, and mends our broken hearts." "The more you trust Jesus and keep your eyes focused on Him, the more life you'll have.
