  1. 1.   Miami is  a  city  located  on  the Atlantic coast  in  southeastern Florida and  the  county  seat  of Miami-Dade  County.  The  42nd  largest  city  proper  in  the  United  States,  with  a  population  of  413,892,  it  is  the  principal,  central,  and  most  populous  city  of  the Miami metropolitan area.  In  2008, Forbes magazine  ranked  Miami  "America's  Cleanest  City",  for  its  yearround  good  air  quality,  vast  green  spaces,  clean  drinking  water,  clean  streets  and  citywide recycling programs. 
  2. 2.  In addition to such annual festivals like Calle Ocho Festival and Carnaval Miami, Miami is home to many entertainment venues, theaters, museums, parks and performing arts centers. The newest addition to the Miami arts scene is the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, the secondlargest performing arts center in the United States after the Lincoln Center in New York City, and is the home of the Florida Grand Opera.

Zoo Miami   The Miami-Dade Zoological Park and Gardens,  branded  and  commonly  known  as Zoo Miami,  formerly  known  as Miami MetroZoo .  Is  the  largest and oldest zoological  garden in Florida,  and  the  only tropical zoo  in  the United States.  It  houses  over  2,000  animals  on  740  acres  (299 ha), 324 acres (131 ha)  of which are developed. It is  about  3  mi.(5 km)  around  if  walked on the path, and has  over 100 exhibits.
  4. 4. Miami Seaquarium   The Miami Seaquarium is a 38-acre (15 ha) oceanarium located on the island of Virginia Key, Founded in 1955, it is the oldest oceanarium in the United States. In addition to marine mammals, the Miami Seaquarium houses fish, sharks, sea turtles, birds, reptiles, and manatees. The park offers daily presentations and hosts overnight camps, events for boy scouts, and group programs. Over 500,000 people visit the facility annually.

American Airlines Arena   The AmericanAirlines Arena is  a  sports  and  entertainment arena located in Downtown Miami,  It was  constructed  beginning  in  1998  as  a  replacement  for  the Miami Arena.  The  Arena  is  home  to  the Miami  Heat of  the National  Basketball Association. 
  6. 6.   PortMiami is a seaport located in Biscayne  Bay in Miami,  As of 2011, the Port of Miami accounts for  176,000 jobs and has an annual economic  impact in Miami of $18 billion. It is the 11th  largest cargo container port in the United  States. In 2010, a record 4.33 million  passengers traveled through the Port of  Miami. One in seven of all the world’s  cruise passengers start from Miami. 
  7. 7. Miami Art Museum It was founded in 1984 as the Center for the Fine Arts, and in 1996 became the Miami Art Museum.  The MAM receives over 60,000 visitors a year. 
