Introduction continued Key to all life time success Need to take them seriously Write them down - something happens when you write them down Best coaches teach fundamentals, reputation is the mother of skills With goals we create the future in advance Some goals do not inspire us Yale University 1953 class Coronal Sounders-Kentucky Fried Chicken What is real to you today is based on your past All the things you accumulate will not make you happy, it is what kind of person you become Money will not make you happy but the free time will Whatever we focus on consistently happens If you are inspired enough you will make it happen

Introduction continued When you set a goal you acknowledge that where you are now is not where you want to be Success can be a trap Pressure is a primary drivers of our actions What we focus on consistently happens We can change our goals any time Set goals twice a year, review them monthly and review key goals daily

Personnel Development Goals Who are you becoming Put yourself in a state that everything you want you will get Absolute expectation without limit What would you like to master What are your career goals Where would you like to go What would you like to be What skills do you want to have What character treats do you want to have What would you like to create What do you want to accomplish Anything you would like in next 1 to 20 years

Personnel Development Goals contd Now you should have a decent list Now go through the list Goals are dreams without a deadline Put 1,3,5,10 or 20 or less next to the goals for the time you want to achieve it Now select the top 3 one year goals that you are absolutely committed to making sure that they happen in the next 12 months
  9. 9. Things Goals Ifno barriers what would you like Think of a child at Christmas Let your mind go wild
  10. 10. Things Goals 2nd Step 1,2,3,5,10,20 years You may not know how you will do it but the more committed you are the probability is that you will receive them sooner Now pick the top three for the next year Write why you are committed to have them in your life in the next year
  11. 11. Economic Goals Let your mind go wild Money goals
  12. 12. Economic Goals Where do you want to be financially in 5 years Now put 1,3,5,10 and 20 after each point Take top 3 one year goals and write why you are committed to making sure it happens
  13. 13. Business Goals Where do you want your business to be in 1 year or say 5 years Again let your mind go wild There is nothing to stop you
  14. 14. Business Goals Now put 1,3,5,10 and 20 after each point Take top 3 one year goals and write why you are committed to making sure it happens
  15. 15. Conclusion How would you feel if all these are achieved Put them up to view them daily Now take action on each one of the goals to ensure something happens Take massive action Do rocking chair test
