  • 1. Teaching the Piano
    Sit nice and straight on the piano bench.
    Keep your feet flat on the floor, if possible.
  • 2. Teaching the Piano
    Curve your fingers.
    Hold this ball in your hands gently.
  • 3. Teaching the Piano
    Release the ball while holding your fingers in place.
    Now place in the keys with curved fingers.
  • 4. Teaching the Piano
    Now you are ready to play.
    See how nice your fingers are curved over the keys?
  • 5. Teaching the Piano
    • Your fingers have numbers
    • 6. Wiggle your thumbs (1’s)
    • 7. Wiggle you 2’s.
    • 8. Wiggle you 3”s (middle finger)
    • 9. Wiggle your 4’s
    • 10. Wiggle you 5’s (pinky)
  • Teaching the Piano
    • There are white keys and black keys
    • 11. Find the 2 black keys
  • Teaching the Piano
    Keeping your fingers curved, strike the 2 black keys using fingers 2 and 3.
    Find all the 2 and 3 black keys and hit them.
  • 12. Teaching the Piano
    Find the 3 black keys on the piano.
    Play all the 3 black keys using finger 2, 3, and 4.
  • 13. Teaching the Piano
    Now let’s begin the first song.
    These keys go down. Play the notes as they go down the keyboard.
    They will make a lower sound.
  • 14. Teaching the Piano
    Continue to have fun as you play this song using your left hand.
    Use these fingers:
    2, 3, 4, 2, 3, 4, 3, 2, 3, 2, 4, 4
  • 15. Teaching the Piano
    Now let’s clap the counts to the song.
    1, 2, 3-4 (hold)
    1, 2, 3-4 (hold)
    1, 2, 3, 4,
    1-4 (hold)
  • 16. Playing the Piano
    Continue to practice your lesson every day.
    Be sure to hold your fingers curved on the keys.
    Sit up straight. Have FUN!
