    • Polar Bears are related to all bears.
    • Like The American Black Bear,
    • Spectacled Bear,
    • And The brown Bear.
  • Herbivore? Carnivore? Or Omnivore?
    • Polar bears are Carnivores.
    • In fact they are the worlds largest land carnivore.
  • Predator or Prey?
    • Polar bears are predators. Their favorite food is the ringed seal, but they will also eat other kinds of seals.
  • What polar bears eat?
    • A polar bear usually eats seals but, if it can’t find any it will hunt for snow goose and vole.
  • Classification
    • Kingdom: Animalia
    • Phylum: Chordata
    • Class: Mammal
    • Order: Carnivore
    • Family: Ursidae
    • Genus: Urus
    • Species: Urus Martimus
  • A cool adaption.
    • Most of the sun's rays pass through the hollow hairs of a polar bear and are trapped by the black skin to warm the bear with solar heating!!
  • How long polar bears live?
    • A polar bear that survives to adulthood commonly lives a little more than 20 years.
    • But cubs that leave their mom and are on their own usually dies after a year or two.
  • How much do polar bears weigh?
    • An average male polar bear weighs about 1,500 pounds, and females weigh about half that much.
  • A polar bears habitat.
    • A polar bear lives in a very icy cold climate. They also swim and spend lots of time on ice.
  • Where polar bears live.
    • They live at the top of the world. The icy region from the North Pole to the Northern coaster of Europe , Asia, and the North America which is called the Arctic.
